Let me start by saying the Camden leasing staff and maintenance are amazing people to work with. Anytime we have run into a maintenance issue a frequent occurrence the team has been incredibly quick to resolve the issue. The leasing team has always answered any questions of mine and Sebastian specifically made moving in a breeze. The reason for the negative review has to do with the security of this building. Packages are consistently being stolen for months now with no resolution in sight. We now have zero staff in our front office so nobody to even see who comes through the front door that is fully open to anyone during business hours. Because there is no front staff, carriers are leaving piles of residents packages in the front lobby, by the door that is open to anyone. We have absolutely no security walking through the building or in our parking garage where full cars have been stolen along with car parts and windows being smashed including my roommates car window. Told that there are only fixed cameras in certain places so these issues most likely won’t even be recorded. Upper Camden staff that makes these decisions, you need to be doing way better. It is with upmost importance that the residents that fill your complexes are left feeling safe at the very least. I know I am not the only person who is extremely disappointed in the way we are treated here. It also seems as if other Camden buildings, specifically newer complexes, get treated a lot differently and have more safety implemented throughout their complex. When it comes to security in peoples homes you should care and it clearly shows you don’t. I will be cancelling my lease here as I am so unhappy with this place.
I've lived here since May and have enjoyed it since. Leasing agents are quick to reply with any questions or concerns I have. Maintenance is quick to resolve issues.
The team at Camden Travis is great. The property is well maintained and in a prime location. The sales manager Erik is very professional and accommodating, he made me feel extremely welcome the second I walked through the door. I’m am very pleased with the level of service from the entire team!
Recently moved to Camden Travis in May 2022, so I've lived here for almost four months now. Since I've been here there has been 3 cars broken into, 1 car completely stolen out of the parking garage, an apartment was broken into, and a catalytic converter stolen. Security is a absolute joke and it just doesn't feel safe here. Dogs relieving themselves in the hallways and stairwells and the owners just leave it there. The mailing system here is also a complete mess, packages showing up to the wrong door or not showing up at all. My package recently got stolen from in front of my door. They don't even have staff in the leasing office... only staff in the building are the maintenance men. Not impressed with Camden at all and I don't recommend living here. Update 9/27: There is a busted pipe and mold in my apartment! Fourth maintenance called I’ve had to make here in 4 months. Update 11/5: My vehicle windows got smashed in in our own parking garage.
Hey guys! I want to make you aware of my situation with the towing here at Camden Travis. My car is in the repair shop so, I got a loaner. When I'm headed out to go to work this morning my loaner car was gone. I called the office for 1.5 hours before I received a call back. My loaner car was towed on Sunday and after speaking to Erik, the property manager, I was told that I have to pay $360.18 to get it out. Although he has the authority to release it he is refusing to do so. Be aware that this is how they are treating residents. I admit that I forgot my parking pass but to be charged $360.18 for forgetting my parking pass is RIDICULOUS! I think this scheme is shameful. I forgot my pass that's all. I've called the corporate office since Erik refuses to rectify the issue.
With so many different options of places to stay in Houston, Erik made us feel at home at Camden Travis. Great location and very central to a lot of things. Cheers to the amazing staff, and clean living accommodations.
Zero stars. I am a prior resident at Camden Travis Street. When we moved out, we were given our final account balance with a charge stating we did not have renters insurance. We emailed our proof of renters insurance to Dianne LeBlanc to get this charge to removed from the balance so we could pay the correct amount. We followed up a couple times regarding this issue with no response. They have since sent us to collections. We have also called several times with no response. I do not recommend moving to any Camden location if they are unable to resolve their issues.
The rent seems reasonable but when you get into the weeds they charge you a $400 application fee this is not a deposit and they tack on $50 of fees + a $120 media bundle each month. So that $1190 studio is really more like $1400/mo.
Sebastian is one of the best Leasing Reps I have had the pleasure of working with. They guy absolutely knows his stuff and worked hard to get us the best deals for the space. Above all his positive energy and great attitude gave us a much needed smile during a long day of looking at apartments. I will be recommending this place to others for the staff alone, not to mention the great location and awesome facility.
The Camden team definitely made moving in a breeze. They were very helpful and quick to answer my questions. Maintenance is super fast. They came and addressed my concerns within 24 hours. The complex is also very nice and well maintained. Definitely recommend if you want to live in midtown.
