We loved this campground! The bathrooms could've been a touch cleaner. But the nightly entertainment was great! The staff and management were friendly and helpful. The facilities were easily located and up to par. Laundry/pool/camp store/cafe etc. Super convenient to beach and having a parking pass was such a money saver. Shopping not far and plenty of restaurants close by also. Great place for old, young and teens that want to have a good time.
This is definitely a more RV/Camper catered camp ground but overall we enjoyed our time tent camping for a few nights. The pool was great, cute little store in the campground. The bathrooms weren’t filthy by any means but weren’t super clean either. Staff did a good job overall keeping the place kept up with. Camped next to a staff team member and he was super helpful and nice. I like how close it is to the beach and there is a parking lot that is free while you are camping at the park so you can go to the beach.
We love this place! It's not perfect ..but no place is! The beach is within 2 miles and you can drive and park a block away for free or take the shuttle for free. They have 4 pools but I've only ever seen 3 open..the 3 that are open are well maintained. They have a Cafe but I've never seen it open. The camp store is tight with so much product and a lot of it is over-priced but thats what you get for convenience. The front desk is always helpful and pleasant. The best part of this trip which was our honeymoon ..was the maintenance men..specifically Bob and Brian! We have several issues and when we called they came right away and fixed the issues. They thoroughly explained what was wrong how to fix it and and how to prevent it in the future and it hardly cost us anything. KUDOS to them!! They restored our faith in humanity! The restaurants in the area are phenomenal..never bad food nor bad service! Highly recommend The Huntley place for breakfast, The Lucky Oyster, Whiskey Kitchen and Gran Maya for Mexican food. DELICIOUS!!! can't wait to return
Overall it seems to be a friendly, nice, and welcoming facility. And I would consider a future stay. However, there are a few things to note and consider... Other campers push the boundaries and don't stick within their own campsite! Heated pool not open as advertised, with all the fires, it is more smokey than California wildfires. While not a bother to me, it may be for others, but seems that quiet hours aren't enforced. No fire pits unless in a cabin or you want to rent one. They do allow ground fires, but with no required ring seems a bit dangerous, specially when a site is littered with pine needles, vegetation, or other dry combustibles! Be sure to bring your own BBQ grill as only the cabin sites have them! Visitors should consider bright reflective clothing at night! And watch out for speedsters, even the golf carts! Hell, not sure half the folks driving were legal! Specially since park rules require motorized vehicle operators to be licensed! I get it's a campground, but consider some lighting for the roadway areas, dog parks, and grassy areas for pet care in evening hours. Playground: Multiple scattered about. As well as four pools depending on season. Restrooms: Could use some working dryers or paper towel dispensers. Multiple notifications about broken hand dryers go unanswered and ignored. Dog-friendliness: Pet friendly facility, with a dog park I did not check out personally. No lighting for pet relief areas making it very dark! Picnic area: Individual picnic table at your campsite, but bring a BBQ grill if you're trying to grill.
Great camping experience!!! We chose a Super Site, which was so nice. 100' x 50'. So much room and all paved. Nice paved patio and large 8 person picnic table and fire ring. This place has 4 pools and mini golf. We were only 10 minutes from the beach and the RV park had a private lot at the beach, for free parking. I will say, you will have to get used to the fighter jets and other aircrafts, constantly flying over, day and night. It was very loud at times. The Air Force and Naval bases are within a few miles. Our nephew is in the Navy and returned from Sea. We had the honor of being on base, when his ship came into port. What an awesome feeling, to see our young sailor depart the ship!!! What a homecoming!!! We will definitely be back in the Summer months. So much to do here!!!
We stayed 4 days and took a tour before our reservation. We were excited about Halloween and decorating our camper and enjoying all the kids. However, hardly anyone follows the rules and the staff don't appear to care. Small kids driving golf carts, loud music from golf carts after 11pm quiet time. Park was clean and well kept but it's a party campground and music/noise late night was common.
Our experience with this park was outstanding. Easy check in from my email. All amenities available and very very reasonable rates. Park was very nice. Little more crowded than I expected but overall it was quiet. They had so much to offer and bathrooms open all year! Restrooms: They were clean and large. The showers were absolutely amazing! Dog-friendliness: We came for a dog show. Having a place to be able to bring our dogs makes it possible.
This is a favorite camping resort for us. The lots are large and very nicely appointed. The campground is huge and level which makes for perfect bike riding. There are 4 pools but off season 2 are open. I’m told one is covered and heated in the winter. There are sites for every kind of camper from tents to super rigs. The beach is just a few miles away plus there is a free parking lot for trave-l guests.
This campground could be great. However they are really not taking care of it nor improving it. We stayed there for two weeks. Our site was nice because we upgraded to a concrete pad site. The regular sites were little to be desired. Mostly sand/dirt, many un-level, barely any stone. If you get a regular site you also have to pay to rent a fire ring. The bathrooms were disgusting. They upgraded the bathrooms recently and they look nice. But they do not maintain the showers in these new bathrooms AT ALL. For two weeks no one cleaned the showers. They are covered in mold and mildew. The curtains are covered too. There was even a woman's undergarment protection sticker stuck on a door, for the entire stay it was still there. So we know no one cleaned. It was gross. They need some serious bleach and mold and mildew cleaner with a brush now because it got so bad. They do offer nightly bands and djs at the main pool which is nice. The camp store looks run down, they even leave their ordering books etc dumped out on a table. Mini golf, don't waste your money. Some people complain about the noise from the fighter jets flying overhead. but it is near an air base so that is expected. They do also offer a parking lot near the beach. But during the day no one makes sure it is only campers so it gets full early and they also allow people to pay to park there which isn't fair to the campers. This campground needs to be updated and they need staff to clean the showers daily
Stayed a week, had a great campsite. 3 pools enjoyed each of them. Store well stocked. Great location. Free private parking at beach. We left our camp sign behind, they contacted us and mailed it to us, great place great staff. Will highly recommend them.
