Outstanding version of a family style Italian restaurant. Open for dinner only four nights a week, reservations are a must. Only two dishes available each night (check the online menu, each night differs), the food is exactly what you would get from your old Italian grandmother if your grandmother was also a gourmet Italian chef. Generous quantities of incredibly delicious food served with very good service. The older gentleman wandering around from table to table is Carmine himself, retired from a lifetime in the high end hospitality industry. Get him to tell you some of his fascinating stories about the memorabilia on the walls or his years with casinos and high end restaurants. Be sure to ask for seconds on the bottomless salad and bread, and savor the house specialty red sauce with the most moist and delicious meatballs and Italian sausage. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the dishes. Carmine's may have a limited menu but they just might have the best Italian food in the state. I cannot recommend more highly, dining at Carmine's will make you very happy unless your desire is a fancy interior and a snooty maître d'.

This place was amazing! I brought a very large group of students here while we were visiting for a competition and the staff was more than accommodating. We were served quickly and had more than enough food for all of us within a very reasonable price. The restaurant is inside a converted house with all of the family history covering the walls in photos and memorabilia. Carmine himself even walked us around and explained some of the photos to us. Wonderful experience for my students and I!!!

Went there with friends and neighbors. We we're not disappointed, Carmine's proved to be as good as the ratings indicated. The food was really good and the service and atmosphere great. It's not the fanciest place, but very homey and relaxing. The owner spent time at our table and made us feel very welcome. This was our first visit, although we have lived in the area for years; but it won't be our last.

The food was great. Carmine was very hospitable even though we didn't have reservations. The restaurant only has two dishes available on any given day, but they have mastered them. We had cheese ravioli with meatballs and sausage and it was amazing. Also, be sure to try the Italian soda. We tried three of them, and our favorite was the vanilla flavor. The decor is kind of like visiting your grandparents home. There are pictures and memorabilia from the owner's past adorning the walls. I would definitely done here again.
