Bitterly Disappointed
We were recommended this restaurant by a professional colleague, so we made a special trip from Vancouver with a young child.
Reserved ahead of time with a minor demand for a high chair we arrived on time at 5:15pm.
When shown to our table we were to be seated in an elevated booth. Naturally with a 2 year old and a high chair, my daughter would've been needing Inspector Gadget arms to reach her food. So the waitperson suggested we stack 2 chairs, which I wasn't entirely comfortable with from a safety perspective. The elevated dais would've placed my daughter inadequately distanced from the main event, ie the food.
I respectfully attempted to be re-seated, but alas a busy Saturday night meant no alternatives other than outside with the plastic furniture.
Tiernan the Shift Manager was unable to grasp our disappointment in having driven for 3 hours and was unable to offer anything.
However, as a last minute arrival we were elegantly accommodated by Anthony's close by. The service was attentive and the food superb.
If Lombardi's expects to represent a higher end family restaurant they have quite a lot of work to do. I would encourage young families to try alternatives as we have.
I will be certain to close the loop with my professional colleague on our return.

So I went in with my girlfriend on a Wednesday night. I was recommended by a good friend of mine. We were seated and it took 10 minutes to get water then we ordered. Why did it take 10 minutes to get just water??? Was pretty perturbed about that then it gets worse. I ordered the Scampi Diavolo and the shrimp was way under cooked! I requested the manager who's name was Tiernan and he gave me A LOT of ATTITUDE for what reason??? For having my food being under cooked? Should I have called OSHA on them? I don't know but I work with a lot of restaurant clients in my line of work.
I don't appreciate the under cooked food and most all the managerial high horse attitude. I will never recommend this place ever again, to my friends and family.
Please advise, whoever is going to this restaurant, PLEASE BEWARE.

Middle of the road food and middle of the road service. They phone it in, didn't try. I expected a lot more for the price. Examples; crab and shrimp cackes were over done and the sauce was not seasoned. My son's steak not cooked to order. Med rare = well done/med-well, soup was around 120 degrees and tasted fine was actually good but got cold very quickly. (On top of the fact that it came with a skin, so it sat wait for service for a long time which accounts for the temperature. Service was inattentive and behaved put upon when asked for water. (All five were empty and the restaurant was most empty at 4 pm on Sunday) food waited at the pass and there was an over all feeling of the server did not want to be there. Five people, 1 glass of white wine, 1 Italian soda, an iced tea, a Shirley Temple and an espresso, 185.xx before gratuity.

Just got back from our anniversary dinner, everything was fantastic! From sitting down to the check, it was all first class. The price is reasonable. Highly recommended.

I LOVE this place. But be warned, it can get pricey!! Food is delicious, though. I always have a good time with the bartenders, and they make great drinks, too! In the summer there is live music on the marina, so it gets very busy Thursday nights. Beautiful view of the marina, as well!
