This is was truly a great experience. The instructors were very enthusiastic about teaching their students. Most of them have an "open-door" policy in their approach to teaching, and I was able have my questions easily answered without shame. People here truly do take their jobs seriously, and they genuinely want to help you through the process of jump-starting your career in the IT field. They are there to help you as much as they possibly can, even if you show them the slightest amount of interest. The staff is incredibly resourceful, and they can lead you to a path within IT (whether it be data, network, security) that is best fit for your interests and personality. They have superb leadership, and they make every effort to be realistic without being losing optimism. They are staff that you can continue to talk with for the rest of your career. They are truly an encouragement to be around, and this was definitely one of the best investments that I have ever made for my future.

This school will help you change your career, if you put the work into it. The staff here are very willing to work one on one and help you succeed. I'm not going to say it's easy, because it is different for everyone. Everyone's personal situation is different. Nothing here will be handed to you on a silver platter. But if you are serious about changing careers to something that is evolving and constantly growing, and are willing to work for it, this is the place for you.
One of the best things about this whole place is the teacher's and their willingness to connect and work with you. Your success, is their success, and that's how a school should operate. Celebrate the student's successes.

I can confidently say Carolina Career College is the best you can expect...From a for-profit organization. I'm a stream-of-conscious writer so please bear with me...This will be a long review.
This school only offers night classes (6-10 PM), which is perfect for someone transitioning to a new career while working a day job. This has not interfered with my job. The school is very clean and has little stands of hot chocolate and the absolute (free) worst coffee I've ever had in my life.
I'm almost done with my program, and I've had 5 instructors. 2 were some of the best teachers I've ever had. 1 was about average. The other two were awful. The great ones teach with passion, offer their cell numbers and e mails for questions, and make themselves available as references for jobs. The bad ones have said "Don't ask me to slow down, if you don't understand something, I'm sorry but you need to figure it out."
So I guess having 2/5 awesome teachers is pretty good, compared to college where I had maybe 3 out of a couple dozen amazing teachers.
The amazing teachers do all they can to make us absorb the information in the limited time we have. But, again, this is a FOR PROFIT school so these classes are crammed into the absolute shortest time frame possible to make room for the next group of students. Several of these classes (Network+, the Server 2012 classes) should be several weeks longer.
On an admin side, the school offers exam vouchers with a 'test pass guarantee' to take the certification exams. If you fail it, you can take it again after some remediation with another school supplied voucher.
The career service personnel deserve 10 out of 5 stars. If your honest with them, and follow advice you will very likely get a job. I had no computer experience, and now I'm working in the field! They have connections all around the triangle area and try and place you where you'd fit best. They work VERY hard and advocate constantly for the students.
All in all, if your a working adult whose used to learning things in an unreasonable amount of time I'd highly recommend this school.
The only reason I can't give this school 5/5 is the absurdly short class length...and the coffee.

This was an outstanding opportunity to transition from the military into an IT career. I was able to attend classes and work toward valuable certifications using the GI Bill. Each class is focused on one certification, and works both towards an understanding of the material found on the exam, but also the practical application in the industry. The instructors and staff are all highly trained, certified, and focused on each student's success both inside the classroom and in the job market. Included in the programs are comprehensive career services that focus and prepare students for applying for positions, meeting potential employers at job fairs, and job interview skills.
The culture was as good or better than any other educational institution I've attended. The classes are potent and relevant, and the instructors are competent and successful IT veterans. I highly recommend Carolina Career College to anyone who wants to advance or begin a career in IT.

So here is the thing: you have to think big picture. There is work. There is repetition. They spend time teaching things you think you already know. They hit you hard with information that leaves your head spinning...and when it is all said and done...and you sit in front of a computer, or sit down at that job interview, it clicks. There is the expression you get what you put in, and this is exactly the case. This team has the resources and the information, your job is to make sure you put a bit of yourself into the classes. I can say with confidence I made a fantastic decision to go take my classes here.
