Carrollton Cemetery

This has to be one of the worst cemeteries ever. The grass is never maintained. If it is cut it’s only the front part when you first enter while the section in the back right corner is left looking like a forest. Either you can’t get in because it’s hardly ever unlocked or the grass is just too high to even visit your loved ones. Dirt is dumped in two spots in the cemetery that you are responsible for shoveling and transporting yourself to keep up the burial sites of your loved ones. It’s like no one cares about this cemetery at all.

Great place to stroll around and see just how old NOLA is. Some of the births listed are in the late 18th century and 19th century. I love to walk around and look

Many from my mother's side of the family, including my grandparents, are buried in this cemetery. However, when my mom passed, dad decided to locate her with his parents. The reason for this decision was because the cemetery and surrounding areas have become so crime infested that one takes their personal security into risk if one wants to visit a loved one's grave. I have never been to my grandparents' grave for that particular reason!!!!!!!
