Cascade Eye & Skin Centers of Gig Harbor

Most of their receptionists seem to not understand the very simple concept of excellent customer service. When asked for help (you know, perform their jobs while sitting down in front of a computer), most of them make it seem as if helping the patient is such a gruesome task. Some simply rush you or pass you to different people like a volleyball. I usually schedule appointments in person since it is too difficult to reach them over the phone. ***UPDATE: Their receptionists are definitely better when it comes to providing customer service. Cascade (including the one in University Place) overall does not have the best set of front desk staff. However, I appreciate the improvement.*** The rest of the staff were mostly great, however. Dr. Gunn and a few of her staff were the main reason why I decided to stick around. Moreover, I dislike how I have to schedule multiple appointments just to get an eye exam, contact lens fitting, etc. Their system is very inefficient especially since most of their receptionists are terrible to speak with regarding scheduling. If their receptionists were kind, I would not mind their inefficient system as much.

This place seems like garbage and the staff is too. No bueno, bad service and from the looks of reviews loosing lots of clients over the staff. Bummer.

This review is only for the front desk staff/customer service. We received very poor customer service. The receptionist are very unprofessional. It is really too bad, because the ophthalmologist we saw and the rest of the staff are great! Will not return due to front desk staff.

The most lovely and courteous staff. Everyone I spoke to was helpful, pleasant, and quickly resolved any issues I had. I was very impressed by everyone

I just recently got vision added to my insurance plan and found this was close to my home so it's convenient I figured. I called to schedule an appointment and the girl I was on the phone with was very unhelpful and rude. She tried to rush me through trying to find a date and time that would work best for my schedule since I run a business full time and I'm a mom I'm pretty busy. We finally landed on a day at 9:30. I got a automated text a few days later confirming my appointment only it was at 1:30. I know I had not only asked for the morning but reconfirmed before I got off the phone that the appointment was for 9:30. So I called to double check and they claimed it was at 1:30 I repeatedly told them it was confirmed for 9:30 and they didn't seem to care nor did they apologize once for the mistake. I will be rescheduling for another time at a different place for sure! Super rude and don't seem to care about their customers at all!!!!!
