After getting referred by a couple friends to start working out with Catalyst, I can't speak highly enough of their trainers and the semi-private training program. The instruction they provide is very detailed and provides a great balance with strength-based training and some time at the end for high-intensity conditioning. I've never been as fit strength-wise in my life than I am currently, and much of that I owe to the instruction and advice I received at Catalyst. Highly recommend if you're looking for some strength-based training and top-notch instruction!
It’s an awesome environment and they have most knowledgeable coaches. Finding a gym I feel comfortable in had always been a real challenge for me, but I have been with Catalyst for almost 2 years and I still feel motivated and excited about my work out. I have never been so eager to go the gym until I found Catalyst. Try it and you will be hooked.
I had the privilege to assist at a kettlebell certification at Catalyst Sport last weekend and was welcomed with open arms. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the positive vibe when I walked in. Not only was the facility top notch, but Jason, Joe, and Kathy were awesome to work with. I had a fantastic experience and I can't wait to work with them again. If you're thinking about training at Catalyst, stop thinking and just do it! They are professionals who genuinely care about their people.
I've been training at Catalyst for over a year and I can't recommend them highly enough. The trainers are all very knowledgeable and they put together great personalized workout programs. I've seen big gains in my overall strength and conditioning since I started. The small group training sessions allow you to take responsibility for achieving your own fitness goals while receiving the perfect amount of individualized attention from the trainers. The kettlebell skills classes are another highlight.
I've been a member here for about 5 months now. Friendly environment, excellent trainers and I've progressed faster than I expected. Best part about Catalyst is they modify your regiment based on your training goals, to keep you challenged. Trainers push you, without making you feel overwhelmed. Can't say enough good things.
Catalyst Sport has been one of the best things about my move to New York. The Catalyst system engages the brain as much as the body, and every program is individually tailored and constantly challenging, grounded in functional movement. The small group fitness system means there is always helpful advice on technique at hand. And the staff are both welcoming and encouraging, without judgement about your skill level. I have felt improvement in so many chronic pain and movement restrictions since training there. Highly recommended.
I am not a person who has ever enjoyed working out. I would sign up for a program and quit within a month. But this year I tried Catalyst and things completely changed. Their trainers all work diligently to ensure that not only do you physically develop with your personal goals but you learn how to self train and reach them. There is no back of the class to hide in and you’re not going through the motions of what works for most people, you’re learning approaches that are designed to work for you. I truly enjoy the growth and progress I have made, not fumbling my way through the exercises but truly understanding and benefiting from them. This is a great program that I truly believe is not like anything I’ve ever tried... and I’ve tried a lot.
When I joined Catalyst my goals were modest; stand up straight, reduce my limp, walk a mile without pain. Fast forward a few years and I'm pain free and more active than I've ever been, including cycling my first century and taking up several new sports. The coaches and clinicians are smart, friendly, and create a welcoming environment no matter where you are on your fitness journey.
If you're female and you were deterred from strength training because of everything you THINK you know about it...come here and get educated! Think injury prevention who doesn't want to live longer?, hormonal balance, mood improvement, and the ability to show off your pull-ups at parties...Unlike commercial gyms, Catalyst gives you training programs that align with your personal goals, so if your goal is to become a professional fighter, you're obviously going to get a program that focuses on those body mechanics rather than someone who's trying to be a runway model! Also, ask lots of questions because all the coaches are huge knowledge banks. Many people who train here are super loyal and have been doing so for years, so you won't see a high turnover of clients. Thoughtful, intentional, and effective training is what I come here for.
I started training at Catalyst in January 2018. The programs are curated to the individual which for me is the biggest draw. I asked them for a program that focuses on building functional strength overall and it’s working. I’m stronger, more flexible and in general more aware of my body. My main cardiovascular exercise is through the sport of Jiu Jitsu and the functional strength concepts have carried over into my training sessions. The environment is great, the trainers are great and knowledgeable, and the programs are challenging and always evolving. If you are looking for a change, motivation, or just to workout, you can’t go wrong with the men and women over at Catalyst.
