While it is expected as an airport restaurant to be mediocre, the fries were reheated and not fresh and the burger was ok but for the price it is really not worth it. Also what is this thing that you have to pay in advance and add the tip when you sit before eating? How would you know about the service? Still the waiter was nice. They also do have a live band playing music. I don't know if it is everyday or just Friday evening...
What a load of rubbish this place is. On a stop over back to the UK. Should have checked google reviews but sleepy and starving meant I spent $40 on a salad and fries and a beer and it was all bang average. The iPads are so stupid- humans are useful sometimes, the servers who are working here are closer to zombies than humans. Avoid like the plague
I love it, the music, the staff, the MUSIC, the decoration, the MUSIC, everything about this place, it is a shame that will close thos December 2019. Hope owners regret and decide not to. I'm lucky to had lunch there, I know it is not the legendary real CBGB which is closed but I enjoyed the place because of course THE MUSIC.
Waaaay over priced for the low quality food they serve. I don't expect food to live up to their photos completely, but the saucy, delicious-looking Pineapple Teriyaki Wings didn't have an ounce of sauce on them.
The hot dog and fries were pretty good. Like all food at Newark, kind of pricey for what it is, but probably a bit cheaper than most places. A mix between a grungey and 'club' atmosphere. Think punk music without the crustiness? Live music was pretty good. Service was very good. Definitely a good spot if you have some time to kill.
Decore is great, good music, comfortable seating - seems like a good place to grab a bite when stuck at the airport a while. Menu is pretty standard, all orders through an iPad on the table. Server brought us lukewarm water in two extremely dusty glasses. Could not drink with all of the floating "things" in my water. Had to call my server 20 minutes after placing order. Did the beer order go through? There's not enough business here to explain the wait. Food arrived. Portions ok, roll seems like it was under the heat lamp a long time Overall underwhelming experience. But I'll have another beer and wait for my plane
The place it's nice. The food, service, and price are very bad. The food arrived icy, the bread so hard, and de price... you know.
Waited an hour and a half for our food to come just to find out that someone accidentally cleared our order off the screen. Then they brought mine and we waited another 30 minutes before telling someone that we were still waiting on my wife’s meal... technology is great and all but there needs to be some sort of “service” required at this place. Right now there is zero!
Well I ordered a salad with salmon with a half bottle of wine. When I asked if there was a way to keep the wine chilled I was told”NO”. When the salad came it was a very small portion and did not have very much salad dressing. After I asked for done dressing and lemon it took so long a almost had to leave it and go to my flight. This salad and wine cost me $63. SO NOT WORTH IT!! Avoid this restaurant!!
Good for airport beers and music, the ordering pad is interesting and you can charge your phone till the cows come home. Pay attention to the gratuity thing, I don't mind tipping, but if I'm putting in the order myself and you're just waking a beer to me, why should I tip before I get the service? Isn't a tip to reward great service? I'll stop myself there.
