Central Rock Gym

I am a member of the Worcester branch and CRG is probably the best climbing gym chain I have seen. However, the Cambridge unit feels a bit dated. Carpets and crash pads aren't to the same standard as some of the newer units. The routes in the gym are amazing! Definitely recommend giving it a try.

We arrived at 1pm and the gym slowly filled with people while we climbed. By the time we left there was a good number of customers without anyone stuck waiting to climb. There was a great variety of climbs to make and everyone there including other customers were kind helpful and excited.

Good bouldering only gym. Not huge, but usually not too crowded to climb. New room opened just toss on the side offering a small expansion of a few new routes. Parking lot can get pretty crowded if heading there after work around 5-6.

If you're serious about climbing (and I'm not saying I am), this the best gym in the area. The routes are creative, consistent, and really fun; the staff are enthusiastic and helpful; and the workout facilities are comprehensive - there's always space on equipment. They also reset all the routes regularly, so it rarely feels stale. I do wish the gyms were a little less dusty, but I understand that it's an uphill battle when your clients are literally scattering chalk powder around the place.

Good routes, great people. Parking can be tight. If you like lifting, the fitness room is a huge perk.
