I took my boat in for not performing well on low end. I talked to the mechanic and he immediately said he thought the boat need a different prop size. 5 days later my boat was ready for pickup so they put her in the water and we tried her out. Wow what a difference the boats throttle response was amazingly better with a plane time of about 6 seconds with 4 people aboard. It use to take 8 seconds with 3 people. They had tried several props but in the end went from a 21 pitch to a 18 pitch both in stainless. Thank you guys for taking time to get it right. I will definitely continue doing business with you. Thanks again

Buyers beware.!!! Made a call to Chatlee today to inquire about a boat price. Boat is showing "Call for Price" on website so I did my research on NADA Boats before calling. Salesman over the phone asked for $13,995 for a boat with average Retail per NADA of $8,220. I asked him again and was told, "yes, that's the price, the boat is very clean" . $5k over NADA price seems excessive for just been clean...don't you think? Will prefer to drive a little bit farther with other dealers in the area before letting them rip me off..

Always good service. I have purchased 2 boats from Chatlee and have had all services and maintenance done on them there with excellent results.

Purchased a 2018 BX 22 BR, got it loaded out with options and my salesman was Matt. My salesman was excellent and never had an issue taking or returning my calls, even after the sale was complete. However, My boat was ordered in late November 2017 and was available for pick up on 2 Jan 2018. I had to pay for out of pocket expenses such as an anchor, dock lines and bumpers, I kind of expected that to be included after spending 58,000, but I was mistaken. After I got the boat home (3 hour drive back to Hubert) I noticed that there was water that was approximately two inches deep in the "fish box" or the compartment in between the two rod boxes near the bow. I thought maybe the drain was blocked with ice due to the cold weather, however after we experienced mid 50 degree weather for three days in a row, I decided to find out why the water was still not draining. I used a garden hose to try to force the water down the drain but no luck. I then used my wet and dry vaccum to pull the water through the drain port on the exterior of the boat, again, this did not work as the drain was blocked. I contacted Chatlee and spoke to "Jimmy" after two attempts. Jimmy wanted me to wait for my 20 hour service before addressing the problem, I replied no, that I would be getting my boat serviced at another location closer to my home. He then had me take my boat to a local boat repair shop in Swansboro. After that gentleman looked at my boat he concluded that the drain was plugged and he could not correct the issue causing the drain to be blocked. I had to get a hold of Jimmy to see what the next step was. Jimmy sent someone to retrieve my boat and take it back to Chatlee for repair. After a week, I heard nothing and had to call Chatlee for an update. I was told an access port was drilled into the rod box and the folks at Chatlee was unable to repair the issue with the blocked drain. So, back to the factory the boat went. I am still waiting for a full update from Allen Bowers the line supervisor for Sea Hunt. I will say that Allen left me a voice mail as I am active duty military and don't have the luxury of being able to answer my cell phone at anytime throughout the day. The problem is that the voicemail Allen left was garbled and unreadable in its entirety. At 3:33 on 21 Feb, I received a call from Jimmy stating my boat was back from the factory and that it will be delivered to me tomorrow. I asked about compensation for being without my boat while still making two payments already, Jimmy said that there will be no compensation and that picking my boat up and returning it was above and beyond!
I purchased a new boat so I would not inherit someone else "used boat problems", I also understand that things happen, but after spending 58,000 on a new boat and then experience the issues with zero compensation....I will not be recommending Chatlee to any of my friends that are thinking purchasing a boat, furthermore, Sea Hunt customer service has a lot to be desired as I am still waiting for a return phone call. Not to mention My brand new boat will be returned to me with an extra hole that was not there previously. I am very dissatisfied and will make it my mission to share my experience with as many other folks so they hopefully do not experience the same issues I have had.
