The playground is very nice and has been updated in the last couple of years. It's a younger child playground, appropriate for toddlers and grade school children. The summer concert series Sunday Nights is very nice.
Beautiful park. I’ve attended drum circles, live music and summer dances here. Nice park to bring friends & family ! Recommend
Beautiful, clean park. Nice-well kept play ground. Public restrooms available. Music in the summer. Art fair end of April
Wonderful city playground for children. Playground: For children under 12 Restrooms: Clean
A beautiful place for children to play. There live music and neighborhood events near this park weekly during summer spring and fall I believe. These events are very crowded but worst going to especially if you live in the neighborhood. It's fun for kids all the way to the elderly. There's a gazebo that is beautiful and it may be a small park but when those Gatherings happen there's a big buzz and crowd that is so delightful and friendly everyone's willing to talk and get to know each other. Music events are usually low-key but very fun and great to be at. It's also an art fair once a year that is totally worth checking out.
I went here for cherokee triangle art fair. Absolutely awesome park. I also grew up close to here so ive spent a lot of time here. Ive taken my children to the fairly large fenced in playground. I love that its fenced in. They have music here in the gazebo every weekend in the summer. Great place to take your family for an outing together. Convenient location and street parking.
Quaint, peaceful, shaded. Has a small playground that's geared more towards smaller children, easy parking. Lots of benches and picnic tables. Very nice place to come and sit or take a walk.
I always go during the Cherokee Triangle Art Fair in late April. Willow Park tends to be on the noisy, crazy end at that time, and that's pretty much a good rule of thumb: Whenever anything's going on in the Park usually this includes music in the grandstand, expect crowds and noise. Sensitive beings, like most dogs and little kids, should be consulted as to their comfort levels. Otherwise, it's a little but lovely park, with a play space for kids, enough lawn to turn cartwheels and run races on, and the long street up to where the Castleman statue was for a walk.
A little more shade would be nice but it is a quaint public park. Love most of the summer Sunday concerts. Thank you Cherokee Triangle Association!
Fun, fenced in playground with a couple baby swings. Slightly lacking on amenities, but the atmosphere is great and the fence allows you to not be paranoid about where your toddler is every second.
