Great sunny day,and a beautiful picnic ,with great music by the Checkmates! Dancing too! What's not to Love about this day? Restrooms: 3 stalls in the Ladies restroom, with plenty of TP!
This is one of my favorite places and the rental building is very nice for small intimate gatherings. I was there to celebrate a friends wedding, there was only about 30 of us there. The fireplace at one end is beautiful, the mantel on the opposite end was decorated. There's a small kitchen, with refrigerator, sink, and enough counter space to arrange edibles.im already considering a fall gathering.
Great place for hiking, trail running, walking, soccer field, basketball, tennis, playground. Memorial cemetery for George Rodgers Clark family is at side near clubhouse. Historical area with small stream in valley.
Great huge park , had my son bday party here and a couple family members followed suit . It’s tucked away but it’s awesome and has everything you could want in a park . Hills, trees, open land to run around. Park, baseball/kickball field and basketball court . Plenty of grills and tables with enough space for multiple families to gather without interfering with each other
Love this park. My wife, daughters and I love to relax, grill and enjoy this park that is safe and gorgeous. year round amazing
Decently spacious for a park within the city. The grounds are well kept. They have a play ground with slides for bigger kids as well as the little ones. There's a baseball diamond, basketball court, tennis courts, and an open field for soccer, Frisbee etc. If you find the big fenced in Cypress tree, legend has it that George Rogers took out his whip and whipped the ground, and a large cypress tree grew from the spot.
Very nice park. Kids loved the water that sprayed them. We used the inside shelter and it was nice as well. The kitchen needs to be fully working and cleaned up. Microwave should be on site as well. Otherwise, nice place to have a gathering.
Beautiful park! Didn't even see 1/3 of it. We weren't prepared and it was miserably humid out. Definitely going back very soon!
Great park to explore and just relax. The oldest tree in Louisville is here too. The founders of the town are buried here too .
