Childtime of Virginia Beach

I am so happy that my family and I chose the Tiffany Lane location for our daughter's care. Like one other review said, you are treated like family, and not like a customer. Management is awesome and makes sure to personally greet me and my daughter as soon as we walk in the door. I have to extend major kudos to all the teachers here. It is evident that they take their job seriously. The time and dedication that they devote to our little one is noticed, and we appreciate you. The kind and warm smiles make a HUGE difference in parents lives when we trust you to take care of our little ones! Thank you!

I had a tour scheduled today at 1pm, I got there 4 minutes before my appointment, I rang the door bell 3 times, and waited 6min after my appointment time, I then went to my car and saw someone near the door, I went back to the door and knocked, the young lady opened the door and I explained I had a tour scheduled for 1pm, her expression on her face was "yikes" and told me that the lady in the office , which was right by the door, that didn't get answered would be right with me. The outside of the building looked run down, and not very inviting, needless to say, I didn't wait

We had ordered pictures for our son from Chiltime for the cost of $100.00. After waiting 3 months for these photos to arrive I was forced to place my trust in the company to mail them to me at their earliest convenience, as I was moving to WI. After 20+ phone calls, promises made to us that they would overnight our child’s photos to us, the management had neglected to do anything at all. They had after some time given these photos to a random employee to "deliver" to us. We had to track down this employee and see where our photos were. They said they would mail them that day and we would have them the next day. When we didn't receive them after one week we attempted to reach out and we were ignored. After contacting a friend, we were able to track down the employee who had "misplaced" the photos and almost a year after ordering the photos the employee "found" them after we contacted Chiltime management who was "disgusted" that they were not delivered to us. They were delivered this morning 22Sep2018 at 11a.m. Upon opening our package, the photos were not in there originally sealed package and show what appears to be melted together, not a single photo is useable and a complete waste of almost a years’ time and my finances. Chldtime at Tiffany Lane is completely unreliable and if they can’t even manage getting the photos of your child to you the customer how can you trust them to care for your children?

I have to agree with those that post about Childtime not being for Children who turn out to have any issues. Our Child was one such, and the staff at first seemed to want to help, but no help came. This was at a time when we were all first realizing our child had issues. Our son is challenging, he does have issues, and we are dealing with that, but if you need a daycare that can work for a child with issues on the ADD/ADHD scale, this is not the place for you. The funny part though is that if your child is actually autistic, and you receive an individual tutor for your child from the school system, they do work with that. The problem lies for children not deemed to need an individual tutor, the corporate policy they must adhere to will not allow them to help in any way. Try to get them to fill out forms for your doctor, about your child’s behavior! They are not allowed to! Best you can do is bring your doctor any incident reports you have.

The center is very dark, old and gloomy. My child didn't seem to mind so we attended becuase it's the only center that opened at 6am that we could find. The staff were alright. BUT....once my son started having problems, even after a confirmed diagnosis from his doctor, therapy, medication and an IEP thru his school, Childtime made NO effort to work with us or my son. They eventually kicked him out. He was crying all the time. He was in trouble all the time just becuase he didn't sit at the table with his hands in his lap. It was extremely frustrating after getting call the 4th or 5th time to pick him up that they STILL had not read the school's IEP that I provided to Childtime twice. Don't go here if you child has any issues! You will be disappointed!
