Chile Verde

Chile Verde is my favorite local Mexican American eatery without a doubt. The food tastes and feels like it was made from scratch compared to other Mexican places in the area. The standard salsa that comes with the chips is fantastic, and the service is always good. I usually get the tacos if I want something simple, or a smothered burrito if I want something filling and spicy. There are options for anyone, and most meats can be ordered in various levels of spice which is a nice amenity. The restaurant itself is usually a little dark for me, it can really take some adjusting coming in on a summer day, but the music is usually festive and the general buzz of the customers pleasant.

Fantastic place! Been coming here for their green chile burger and the appetizers. This burger is around 1/2 lb with a green chile sauce and a fried egg on top. Place gets pretty packed after work. Expect to spend anywhere from $$ to $$$.

The margaritas are made from scratch, not an overly sweet mix. The food was excellent and service is very good.

Typical Mexican restaurant. Went during Cinco de Mayo. Hostess station was outside. Celebratory entrance I suppose. Nothing exceptional. Waitresses seemed overworked. They handled it well. Great work ethic. Food was good. Nothing stood out as Wow. Environment was typical. Basic place. Noting separates it from others.

Awesome New Mexico restaurant. Great place to get a taste of New Mexican/Coloradian food.
