Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream Fort Lauderdale

I love this place so much! I had always wanted to try one of these nitrogen ice cream places and I finally got the chance. As soon as you walk in you can see the huge tank holding the nitrogen tank in the corner. At the counter you pick your base flavor in either yogurt or ice cream. They also have a non dairy coconut based option. After you choose your flavor you can pick your mix ins for 60 cents each. Since it was my first time here I went with my favorite standby flavor, mint with chocolate chips. Once you pay for your dessert the mad scientists of the chill lab mix up your concoction and the fun begins as you watch the smoke from the nitrogen pour off. Why nitrogen you may ask? Apparently it is so cold that it reduces the size of the ice crystals in the ice cream. The result is a super cold and creamy ice cream. I am not a fan of melting ice cream so this was right up my alley. Also the chocolate chips were so numerous and mixed perfectly throughout the ice cream. The whole thing was delicious from start to finish. A small ice cream with one mix in was a reasonable $5. I only wish they had hot fudge. They had chocolate syrup which I am not a fan of but this was so good it didn't really need an additional topping. I only wish it was closer to me. If you like a little show with your custom mixed ice cream than this is the place to go.

Very visually appealing place to enter, LOTS of options for what to have, just look at all the pictures of their very creative menu which they do seem to keep adding things for. Great place to bring kids to watch the nitrogen show or to take someone for a little treat date with a relatively fair enough price, won't break the bank.

Smooth, decadent, delicious and full of flavor! Need I say more? If you live close to one of these ice cream shops you’re lucky!

One of the best ice creams I’ve ever tried. You can find here a technological approach applied to such a traditional product as an ice cream! It’s also really cool to observe how they cook it!

Chill-N has some of the best ice cream I've ever tried. Their unique liquid nitrogen freezing process makes the ice cream incredibly smooth. They don't have some of the more interesting flavors (death by chocolate is but one example), but you can pick a base flavor and add mix-ins. Give it a try! 😊
