Lulu's Nitrogen Ice Cream

Made to order ice cream gets a pretty welcoming appearance here at Lulu's Nitrogen Ice Cream. Staff is very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and helpful with flavor combinations. I have no complaints about the location except for the behavior of some persons outside of the creamery. Some guests were out there speaking and eating when my wife and I arrived. They left by the time we went outside to eat, and left their mess on the table. This attracted sparrows, pigeons, and even a homeless person. On that alone, I likely would not return.

They’re always nice when we visit! I live across the street and love having good ice cream so close to home. I’ve never seen this place empty. Love the Nutella it’s my favorite even though I’m a vanilla girl. Today I got the waffle cone and only have one suggestion. There were holes in the waffle cone so not long after I started eating the ice cream was dripping all over the place. The bottom of the cone fell off and all of a sudden I’m rushing to finish so I stop spilling ice cream all over myself or inside the paper cup they gave me. Not how I enjoy eating my ice cream. Hopefully that’s fixed.

The Customer experience left much to be desired. I was standing in the cashier for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. The place seemed to be understaffed as they employees had their hands full. I can understand if a place is busy, but a simple “Hello, sorry we are a little busy, we’ll be right with you” would have sufficed rather than being completely ignored. The young employees were trying but it was clear they had not been trained in customer service. The flavors were pretty decent, I liked the vanilla and the chocolate, the pistachio was kind of bland. I drove 20 minutes to try this place and was definitely not worth it. For reference, I was there on a Sunday afternoon around 6pm. Also, I called in advance and also asked another employee about Gluten free options. One of them was not sure what it meant and the other one did not know if they had gluten free flavors. My dad has celiacs disease so I didn’t risk it. Hope this helps you improve for the future.

Delicious and unique flavor options. I had the coco matcha and guava goat cheese. The other flavors are also really creamy and authentic. This is a local business that does a good job at delivering a welcoming and soft environment. There is parking out back and seating in and out. I recommend this ice cream place to anyone with a sweet tooth downtown.

I was there with my daughter this past Tuesday 02/13 around 8:45pm we will surely never come back to this place, customer service experience was horrible. Had to ask for a spoon 3 times and each time I was sent back to the end of the store which of course no spoons there. If both girls will had been doing their jobs instead of looking at their cellphones they will had realized the spoons were right next to them hidden on a not visible place next to them by the register where customers can’t reach. A spoon should automatically be given to the customer with their orders. Hope the owner reviews this message and rectifies this type of behavior from these two employees working that evening so that other customers don’t have to go through the same bad experience. I do not recommend this place.
