China King Buffet

Food: I was surprised by how terrible the food was. The only thing that was good was the Mongolian Grill. The buffet food wasn’t hardly labeled so most of it was a mystery on what you were getting unless it was obvious. The calamari looked horrible and the only thing that looked normal were the rolls and sweet and sour chicken. The sushi wasn’t labeled either so you had to guess what it was based on the ingredients you could see. Not exactly the most comforting method when you are talking about sushi. Cleanliness: So it’s a buffet so you expect it to be a bit chaotic but all of the chairs were sticky and between the floors, ceilings, and the dim lighting it just felt like you really shouldn’t be eating there. As my wife said, if the dining area looked this bad, how do you think the kitchen looks? Service: It was great and she was very friendly. She did have a bit of a hard time understanding us in the chaos of our kids but that happens everywhere. The service was great and is the only reason why I didn’t give them one star.

The last two times I went there the restaurant had a strong sour fish odor. The last three times I went around 5pm, the food on the buffet is always cold and they rarely want to put any food out. The Mongolian grill is literally the best thing about this buffet. They do have a big array of food to choose from that is often cold. The lunch time prices are the best and often the food is hot and fresh on the buffet. The sushi is always good!

Memorial Day buffet was not busy. Wieder came by to pick up empty plates in refill drinks seamlessly.

We just ate here and this was a total waste of time and money. This is a horrid restaurant. First: cold food! Some steam tables had food but were cold to the touch. Personally I don’t want to eat food that has been sitting out and is not heated to avoid any bacteria related problems. The Mongolian bar/grill had no one manning it so you couldn’t have that. The noodle soup area: no one manning that so you couldn’t get that as a hot food. of the food that was Luke warm, no hot food to avoid any contamination that may make the customer sick, the food was marginal, bland taste poor selection. To top it off the bill was almost $12.00 per person. I will never eat here again. They have competition probably less than a mile away in Daniel Stewart Square, that’s where I will go

Been here multiple times and have had everything from hairs to the latest COCKROACHES in my soup. Very nice, they have me a 50% discount off my meal.
