Food was horrible. The only good thing was the mashed potatoes with gravy. The soda machine didn't even have ice and it was like the place was busy. There was approximately 15-20 people in the whole place. The food was cold and bland. Most of the meat was undercooked or raw. Over the years, Old Country Buffet has become worse. Food used to taste good and now I'll never go back after this experience. :(

You would come in with the welcoming scent of vanilla ice cream.
At first glance, it seems like a nice place to eat; very family-friendly place to eat at with a bit of variety. Little do you know that this is the Walmart-brand type of buffet.
My first complaint is the food. I had spinach, meatloaf, cornbread, and baked beans. Obviously, you can't screw up spinach.
I was almost traumatized by the meatloaf. I compared it to my family recipe for meatloaf. The paste that was spread on top was not that bad, cuz the paste should have a balance of sweet and spice. However, the meat itself had NO SEASONING AT ALL. It literally is just ground beef and it saddened me, because it was my favorite food as a child.
The best type of cornbread is moist at the top center. Anyone who says otherwise obviously makes drywall instead of cornbread. The cornbread, on a scale of 1-10, was a 4. They could have used a bit more liquids in the mix.
Honestly, the baked beans had such an awful taste, I didn't even care about the seasoning. It was actually very sour.
Contrary to the complaints, I will admit that this is the first place where I saw Splenda in the sweetener bowl. It is a very healthy artificial sweetener to use and I thank this place for that.
The women's restroom was unsatisfying. There is only 4 stalls, so don't be coming in there with an emergency, cuz there is going to be a line so long it crosses the line for ice cream. The large stall confused me. In the corner, there is a crusty, old sink. Try it warm, nothing comes out. Try it cold, nothing comes out. Try it both simultaneously, only a trickle comes out. It was also very awkward explaining that there was a sink in there.
Comparing to other reviews, I played no attention to infestations, nor did I hear any complaints about it during my stay. The slushies were made by a machine, so it can't be screwed up.
So if you're planning on staying and having dinner here, don't expect fine dining. If you can't make-do, you might as well make dinner at home.

With more than 30 preteens and 7 adults, the staff and food was amazing!
