I don’t have a large enough vocabulary to describe this exquisite home! Lee and David are perfect hosts. Choctaw Hall is filled with beautiful family heirlooms. The best part is that the home is pet-friendly! We cannot wait to return.

The house is beautiful. The belongings in the house are beautiful. But on the day I went, the charming Mr. David's tour was filled with racially-insensitive language. If you want to be told that lemonade was "invented by the blacks so at least they did something good," this tour is for you. If you want to hear how hard life was for the southerners because they had to work so hard in the heat, not to mention putting up with the "black uprising," this tour is for you. If you want to be told about the provenance of a sculpture of a "n***** boy," this tour is for you. If, like me, you are horrified by this kind of language and the attitude that fuels it, I strongly suggest you avoid the Choctaw Hall tour. I regret that my ticket price supports this man in any way.

Amazing house with rich history. The guide actual owns and lives at the house. He is amazing and you can tell his deep love for not only the home but history.
