Kate J. rocks. She gave me a highly technical haircut and is incredibly awesome at complex, advanced color. She truly listened to what I wanted and delivered. I had a pretty complicated color ask, and I am picky (I went from dark brownish-blonde to a super light, champagne ash blonde) and it turned out perfectly. I am so impressed and received a ton of compliments... always a good thing:).

Disappointed prob doesn't cover it. I grew my hair out for 1.5 yrs to grow the old dye out of it. I showed 2 pictures of hair I loved, told them Id be happy with either, both were much different then my hair. They asked if they could mix the two I said no I liked the differences. One was blonde blonde, one ombre dark brown. I ended up with 90s mixed blonde/brown striped highlights, waste of time, and money. I have no confidence they can fix my hair, the skills are just not there hence the poor review. Do your research, choose a better salon. Will try to add pics.

I've had my hair cut by Tina at Christopher J Salon a few times now, and I've been pleased each time. I feel like she actually listens to me when I describe what I like and dislike about previous styles. When I told her that I do not use any product or do anything to style my hair beyond washing and combing it, she took that into account, and didn't use any product when styling it after the cut. I think that's the first time a stylist has ever done that, and I appreciated it. She also didn't try to sell me on any products beyond asking if I needed shampoo; again, very much appreciated. Prices seemed reasonable to me. If you live in the area and need a new salon, I'd suggest checking this one out.

I'm from Iowa, but I'm seriously considering driving the two and a half hours just to get my haircut again at this salon, absolutely phenomenal!
