City Fire

I visited City Fire for the first time today. Overall, the experience was great and our waiter was attentive and friendly. However, the price for the shrimp and grits was not comparable to how much you actually get on the plate. I personally felt that it was the size of an appetizer. The dish was delicious, but the portion size was an issue for me. (Hence the 1 star deduction) Also, the bottomless mimosas we’re delicious as well. But I will definitely be visiting again!

When we went there with an Open Table reservation for brunch this past weekend, they simply claimed they didn’t have the reservation on their system. It was so rude and thankfully I had the confirmation or they wouldn’t have even sat us. As I showed him the confirmation, the manager even said “did you just make this reservation?”... absolutely rude. No sir, we made it several days ago, it’s just your unprofessional restaurant that didn’t have it on your system. Finally he sat us down for lunch- not even brunch like we intended- and in a super crowded booth for the 7 of us. This is exactly why I made a reservation beforehand, but that’s fine..at this point there was still room for redemption. We sat cramped and ordered food and the waiter seemed very stand-offish and rude. I get it, the long weekend must have been tough for him with the crazy crowds but it was absolutely no way to treat us. He took our drink orders and took forever to bring them out. When the food came out, it was very mediocre and definitely too expensive for what we were getting. Maybe by this time, our experience was already tainted by the unprofessionalism of their staff. This place had great reviews on Yelp so I’m pretty upset and disappointed that it didn’t work out. It was my group’s first time in Nashville and it was not a great experience. Wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. Save your money and go elsewhere! This place needs to work on their customer service.

Loved this restaurant which was so close to our hotel. Walked in off the street and seated in a preferred booth immediately. Matt waited on us and was the most gracious and accommodating server that we have ever experienced. I ordered Carolina trout and my husband had their special meatloaf and both meals were delicious. Would definitely recommend this venue.

The food here is awesome! Try the chicken and spinach panini sandwich.... ridiculous!!!! This place should be 5 star. If you like beer, they only stock local brews. Good food + good beer + Jason (our server), can’t beat this

I ate the French dip at this place today with spinach and onions on the side. It was made with some delicious prime rib! The owner here has a real passion for cooking, and it's an all around great place to get a variety of foods that actually taste really really good.
