City of Edmond - Police Department

Shout out to the quick reflexes of their 911 staff. Called in with a report of a suicidal subject, Dispatcher was quick on her feet and got officers, and medics on scene in less than 5 min. Thank you, Not only to the officers but the unsung thin gold line behind the scenes!! You all did AMAZING!!

Ohhh boy, where do I begin. Well I have to say. Some of the Edmond Officers are actually pretty kind, well mannered and respectful. However, every once in a while, I run into the bad apples. For the one's who do their job and don't racial profile people of color. Don't go out of their way to have a d**k measuring contest with an unarmed civilian. I wish we had more guys like you in all communities in the states. I love feeling safe in Edmond because of the police. However the "bad apples" can really ruin your day. But enlight of the unarmed civilian killings going on in the state's. I have always believed the EPD is a department I can trust. To not end my life because my black cellphone "looked" like a fire arm. If you follow the law, especially at night. Show them respect. 9/10 you have nothing to worry about. It's just the bad apples that bring them down. And why I'm giving the department 3 star's.

I really want to thank the Edmond Police that came to my home on Thurs., April 5th. My mom, (99+) went home to be with her Saviour and as things go when that happens, it's sort of hectic. First the Fire Dept. came, then EMSA, then the police. Lt. Mike (sorry didn't catch last name), Sgt. Dixon and another officer were here (sorry didn't catch name). Sgt. Dixon handled all the info we had, paperwork, etc. Lt. Mike talked with my grandson and that was such a help. There just couldn't have been better attention given to us in this situation. Thanks to all, very much.

I don't know what the point of this review is because they have tons of bad reviews and nobody has taken the time to address a single one of them but my problem is, what kind of police dept can't be reached on the weekend? You have to call the city of Edmond and the city of Edmond is closed on the weekend so unless you're in their 911 area and dial 911 then there is no way to reach them on the weekend and that's just not right!

I have never seen any Police in any City that is as efficient as Edmond Police, the officers are in high response and well polished in handling cases. Edmond Police saved my life. You call them and they are there within seconds, making the City one of the safest in the US. Thanks to the City of Edmond Police for their continuous good services.
