Officer Brewer was awesome when I called and needed help at my house. I am so impressed with the Choctaw Police force! They got here promptly and helped make me feel safe! Thank you for all you do for us! ❤️

Have never been more disappointed in the Choctaw police force. Was treated as a criminal when we were CLEARLY a VICTIM in a situation and had no control over what happened. I will be filing a formal complaint against officer Brewer for his lack of professionalism. I will also be noting the fact that he did absolutely nothing to help us figure out what the next step was in our situation and actually seemed to attempt to hinder us. Very ashamed of the officer

Suspect? Who does that evolve? A victim of icy intersections? An elderly person that has to crawl out of their car after the black ice sends them unexpectedly into a ditch and the car rolls over onto it's side, needs help but neighbors are screaming at their dogs and at the victim for making a noise? Where does the victim go for help? Reality is, not everyone can afford a cell phone. We are people who live in the Choctaw area all our lives and now become a victim of icy roads on the outskirts of town. Those people near that church where my car rolled into the ditch did not ask if we needed help but were angry at these elderly victims of the city of Choctaw. Then, to further upset these victims the police also began a rant at we, the elderly victims, when we came into your office (you say) for taking out a sign when the car slid off the road.
Not one officer asked the victim if he was okay, not ONE! All they talked about was 'their' SIGN then progressed to accusing the elderly victim of being intoxicated because he stumbled on the icy ground after being stunned by the accident (so says that neighbor) walked a little carefully when taking steps due to the ice maybe? Angry? Me? Why should I be angry? It was our only car, we are on a very tight limited SS income and do our best to abide by all the laws but all the police department would do was harass, make false, unfounded accusations and make us feel like second rate citizens because we are Choctaw Indian Heritage!
I am a local all my life Mr. Clay, I went to school there, my kids and grand kids went to school in Choctaw. My daughters, one a Ph.D. graduate of Harvard University, another an RN are not second rate and neither are my other children who strive to maintain their standards in life I diligently taught them. I was on the Parent Teacher's Advisory at the Choctaw School and served my community justly with my life here now why, as senior citizens are we no longer treated fairly by our local police station? Our loss is nothing? Our expenses to you for undermining our attempt to call our insurance for our auto and have it towed thwarted by your zeal to have your impound get there first so that we would have to pay hundreds of dollars to get our totaled car out of the impound facility? We have given our life to working, paying taxes, giving to the community and this is how we are repaid? With you telling us we are drunks and had to be drinking because the car hit the black ice? The driver had to have been drinking because a disgruntled neighbor said so when in reality the neighbors were angry because the noise of the impact of the car running off the road disturbed them? Not to mention the blatant lie your hired female person made to me when she phoned me and said an officer would come to my home to make out an accident report when all the officer did was issue a TICKET because we had to seek assistance for help else other than where the car was off the road! YOU sent a man to my home under false pretenses after insulting us with racial slurs and accusations. Yes, I am very upset with your organization and it's ethics! My auto insurance will pay for the public owned speed limit sign but...you know that fact and so do those officers. You have caused undue duress in my life with your attempts to make out like we are villains instead of victims. I would advise all persons to avoid shopping or traveling in the Choctaw City limits. If you would do that to a life long resident what would you do to those visiting or shopping from other areas? It reminds me of a passage I love. What you do unto the least of these you do it UNTO ME.
