The supervising physician was incredibly rude and dismissive, asked no questions, just kind of grunted at me and walked out. I had to request a different provider, who also failed to ask basic questions like what color is your phlegm and is there blood in it? I called the next day day 7 of my illness to ask for an antibiotic, which was refused with the staff encouraging me to come back into the office so my insurance can be billed again, no doubt. No thank you. I also asked for a note to excuse me from work, which still has not been provided. Of course having a virtual urgent care with an NYU doc who asked all the relevant questions and gave me the quality care all patients deserve, including and inhaler and an antibiotic. Surprise- less than 24 hours after starting the antibiotic I’m feeling better. The front desk staff and the medical assistants were kind and wonderful and LISTENED, but unfortunately I can’t say the same for the clinicians. I don’t know how you have a 4.5 rating, but based on my visit, you surely did not earn it.
I’ve been there about three times and every experience has been different. Went in for back pain the first time. Basically told that the back pain was expected because of my work. A work that I’d been doing for 3 years at that point. Gave me a note and a prescription for a muscle relaxant the equivalent of a Tylenol. Went back for a Flu Shot and was in and out within 20 minutes, the staff was pleasant and area was clean. The third time I went in for Pneumonia, was treated like I had a regular cold and was sent home. Went to another CityMD downtown the same day and was tested and told that I had Pneumonia. The staff on that day were a bit dismissive starting with the folks at the desk, the doctor wasn’t any better, she acted like I was there to waste her time.
we needed a test result for a "rapid" covid test and were told it would take 24 - 48 hours. In times of modern technology i really don't understand why a simple test result, for a "rapid test" would take so long to be sent to a patient. this is an epic fail! i'm totally disappointed. City MD you can do better. 50 people working and not one can send an email. #fail
The 3rd time being here and I’m appalled by the lack of compassion and the willingness of the doctors I’ve seen. After being told by after care that they advise me to come in the office doesn’t know what I’m there for when arriving the test results I already have were given to me the further testing I was told that was needed by after care reading a message from the city md themselves was never done the doctor left the door open and pretty sure he disclosed me personal information to his colleagues and for that reason alone is why I’m writing this review I would love for someone to reach out because this was 1 of the most embarrassing things I’ve experienced this.
I only go to this one because the wait time isn’t that bad but there’s a closer one to me somehow that’s worse. That being said, I went for a COVID test bc I’m sick. The medical assistant who took my vitals said it’s up to the Dr’s discretion if I need a PCR & for now he’d perform the rapid. I told him I’m the patient & I don’t trust the accuracy of the rapid & I just want the PCR. This policy makes zero sense to me and they’ve told it to me before but ANYONE can do the PCR. An MA, a phlebotomist, a nurse, or a doctor can do the PCR. All the doctor has to do is order it. So why they made me sit in that same exam room for another hour after the MA left to wait for the doctor. The PCR took 30 seconds btw all I said was I’m symptomatic which I am. To wait 60 minutes for a task that takes 30 seconds is crazy. THE DR DOESN’T HAVE TO PERFORM IT
The nurse told me to leave while my child gets examined. Also, I had the nerve to ask my child-a, five y/o, if I can go, which she has no idea what she agrees to, nor is she capable of making decisions. I told the her-the nurse I was not leaving. I had never had this issue with a doctor/or nurse before. She left the room to speak to her supervisor and said I could stay. I do not know what her intentions were, but I’m skeptical, and parents, please learn from my experience with these nurses/and doctors
Professional staff. They all made my visit a seamless one. Everyone that I interacted with was very pleasant. Management is doing an excellent job. Very clean facility.
Front desk person should be retrained and care more about customer service. Long wait with few people there. Staff weren't welcoming or friendly with the exception of the Dr. She was very pleasant.
As an adult the patient care was awesome, but I took my toddler son to take the flu-shot and the facility definetely needs improvement on how they manage toddlers for patient care.
The young lady at the front desk is very rude. Patients need to be treated with respect and kindness when seeking health care so it is a red flag to have such rudeness at the front desk
