CIVA Charter High School

These are the words that describe this school (in no particular order): polished, well-rounded, mature, cultured, sophisticated, enlightened, EDUCATED, encouraging, dedicated, and ARTSY. The teachers and staff work well with 504 plans and have an excellent exchange student program. A special shout out to Rhonda Cameron, the music teacher. She is absolutely brilliant and understands music in a way that translates beautifully to the children. The 2017/2018 Advanced Choir's spring performance was on point. (Helpful tip: Freshman year takes some getting used to but isn't freshman year always hard? My advice: Stick with it.) Overall, a well-rounded and safe school with sublime teachers and students.

This is the first school where I feel safe enough to be me. The teachers acomodate the students and encourage us to express ourselves. This school is a dream come true and has been a wonderful opportunity for me personally.

I promote this school to any family that I meet! It is a college prep high school that really fosters a caring environment - between the students, parents, and faculty. The teacher's push the students to grow academically to be fully prepared for college. The students are so kind and become upstanding citizens through the school's community service program. There is always someone to open the doors and say hello. The headmaster allows school visits, come and take a brief tour and you will see what makes this school a gem.

I've been a teacher at this amazing school for the last six years. I have seen amazing growth among our students as we have improved in every area - especially in leadership, academics, musicianship and character. We attract a diverse group of students, and it always amazes me this time of year the number of students who openly praise CIVA for making a massive difference in their lives. Come check us out!
