Clancy's Public House

This was such a wonderful visit. Nice looking atmosphere, great food, amazing chef, very friendly staff. We stopped by after a basketball tournament. We where very surprised with how fun that menu was. The staff was very friendly. We got veggie platter, corned beef Reuben with fries(amazing), and 🍤 and grit's. Food was great. If we ever are on this side of town we will be back. Prices where kinda high but food was fun. The fries where like curly 🥔 wedges.

Great spot to go in Richmond. They have an amazing selection of craft, draft, and import beers. The staff is very knowledgeable about them too. Have only had a few items from their food menu but so far everything has been great!

Be careful. Only for locals and those that look like them. Pretty redneck. I sat at bar for 5 minutes without even a hello let alone service. Got a manager and he did put my order put in. Nobody told me about specials. Nobody came to ask how things were, if steak was cooked correctly, if I needed anything else, ... Food was decent. Dropped nearly $50 bucks for dinner, but didn’t matter. Make sure you already know them or look like them. Very rural Texas and very discriminatory.

So all I can say is that I'm disappointed. I ordered the Clancy Burger, you'll see in the picture, and it was pretty tiny. The bun is bigger then the burger. 2 tiny strips of bacon, and a total of 9 (yes 9) fries on the side.... It was good, but for what I paid ($12 bucks), I expected a little more. JMHO... I left hungry. On the other hand, my wife had the shrimp and grits, which was very good. Service was also pretty slow. I think our server was new.

Very nice atmosphere. Great service. I had the corned beef and cabbage - a house specialty. Both were superb. I can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu.
