I love the friendly service an how they treated us like family and met all of our needs an I would come to Clayton again if ever we needed another home....

Terrible customer service and horribly built homes I wouldn't refer Kurk the manager here one of these homes to one of my worst enemies. This company has a terrible transporter. They have terrible customer service. We were given a trade In and we gave it to a disabled needy individual. Clayton the. Promises her the home will be pulled and it's been two months and the home still sits where it's been sitting for 7 months. TOTAL SCAM!!!!!! Do not let these people tall you Into a Contract with them. I guarantee you will be screwed one way or another.

My husband and I were going to buy a doublewide. The finance company had already approved us and we made our down payment. The day before my husband went in the hospital for possible stints salesman Chris called and said that they needed more of a down payment, did we have anything with a title. As a matter of fact we did. We had a motorcycle. So, my husband spoke to manager Kirk about it. Chris called later that evening and said he would come by the hospital and pick up the title to the motorcycle. Really? While at the hospital? So James and I spoke about it and the more we discussed the more upset we got. So, the next morning as my husband was rolled into surgery I called the finance company. And guess what. The finance company had no idea what I was talking about. He said the credit was fine, the down payment was fine, didn't need anything more from us. We had complete approval. As a matter of fact they had moved the contract to the closing department. To say I was confused is an understatement. Well nobody came to the hospital which was a good thing because I was very upset. We went home. Different surgery was scheduled. We decided at that point that we were not going to do business with clayton homes. Although we loved the homes on the lot. Unfortunately our daughter passed away soon afterward. So, we called and told them we would have to wait before we would be able to buy our home and we would come pick up the deposit. They had it in two days. We went to pick up the check. Chris told us when we were ready to come back, just bring that title to the motorcycle and we could pick up where we left off. I was not going to post my review. I was just going to move ahead when the time was right. Well here we are. Looking for our home. And as much as I loved the one we picked out at clayton I did not appreciate the lie about the title. So, we are buying at a different local dealer. Be careful if you are asked for additional down payment in the form of a title to anything. Unfortunate.
