Clear Lake Powerboat Service, Inc. Boat Repair Service

I have been using this place for years and they are outstanding! They continue to impress me with their professionalism and workmanship. Free beer couldn't get me to use anyone else.

Very dissapointed with my experience. 1. Was told a particular time frame. I called 2 weeks after the time frame porimised, and when I commented about it, I was told that it is just the way it is. 2. After finally getting my boat worked on, the first time I went on the water, the boat overheated. When I opened the engine compartment, 3 of my 8 spark plugs were dangling and a hose was left disconnected. I called and asked about this. I was told they would come repair what they had not finished and I also asked them to look over the whole thing and see why the boat overheated. 2 weeks later, ED finally came out without any notice, and reconnected the hose they had left disconnected. No call, no email, nothing. No expalination of what had happened or what could be done.. I would have gladly paid them more money to reslove the issue if the overheating was not related to their repairs. 2 weeks after ED finally made it out to reconnect a hose, I took my family on the water. 10 minutes in, the boat overheated to 250 degrees and burned up my $3,000 Corsa Exhaust. I called him asking what to do, and he told me word for word. "I'll make this real simple for you, find someone else to work on your boat" This experience caused me to reach out to a good friend of mine with millions tied up in boats. He stated to me that I should have called him before using Powerboat Marine Services. He would have advised to stay far away from them as he has been burned in the past as well.
