Cy-Fair Marine closed up so Neal's Boat was the next closest marine repair and after about 5 recommendations by friend's we decided to go. Amazing service. Some of the repairs we requested were not needed they said, shocked by the honesty. Also we asked to replace our dead battery and they said it just needed a good charge, it was not bad as we thought. Prices are better than Cy-Fair ever was. Was not looking forward to finding a new place but wish I had found them a lot earlier. Honest, knowledgeable and fast, Cy-Fair would say a few weeks and take about a month but here they said about 2 weeks to look at it and got it back in less than 2. They warned us on the phone they would get backed up quick with the weather nice, glad we beat the rush. Very happy customer, will go back for any boating needs.

The folks that work here are very knowledgeable and efficient in getting my boat repaired. I have used them multiple times and have no complaints about my experience with them.

I have used a lot of boat repair shops up and down the coast, and I fish often. Several tournaments a year too. I have had my experiences with boat repair shops, and I have lots of stories from many of them up and down the Texas coast. I live close to Neal's Boat Service, so I thought I would try them several weeks ago. I was thoroughly impressed with time it took to get my boat back, and how thorough they were with the questions I had.
I saw a couple of complainers on this site, so I thought I would post this review. With all due respect to the couple of complaints, I am a small business owner too, and we can't always be perfect and many times the customer is unfair too. That's just a reality. I am actually happy to have found Neal's, so far. From my experience so far I would recommend using them.

Horrible customer service. The owner would much rather argue and fight with you rather than complete any agreed on service.
I dropped my boat off here for a very simple service. After a short conversation with the woman that answers phone calls I felt good that we had an understanding on the work needed and a rough estimate on price. Unfortunately the man that performs service here decided he would only perform the work after tacking on another $175 in parts and an extra $200 in labor. The part can be found online for $70 and takes about 20 minutes to replace. . . I told them that I would rather just pick up my boat and do it myself since they changed their mind. I was charged $100 for them to look at my boat. . . and then change their mind about performing the work. Ripoff and a bait and switch.
I should have taken the time to look at the other reviews for this place. Obviously my experience seems to be a pretty common one.
