Searching for a doctor for my child has not been easy but I could say that finally my search is over . This office is fantastic!!! My child went in for a sick visit my child didn't have an appointment and the receptionist told me that the doors are always open that they expect walk ins till 4:30 pm. I was grateful in other offices they will tell me I need an appointment. Two days later I get a follow up call to see how my daughter was doing. Those things show that they are busy but still take the time to follow up with sick patient. All my experiences have been a pleasure I have seen Dr. Gamundi and she was super friendly and humble. In all my visit she has took care of all my needs. She there on weekends or an e mail away any time of the day I love how much dedication she puts in to her job. I wouldn't trade her for the world. This is the standard of what health care should be.

My experience with Stages Pediatrics has been fantastic. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful every visit. Dr. Pena, despite being busy with many patients, takes time to answer all my questions and do thorough routine check-ups and examinations when my son is sick. I had a home birth and Dr. Pena respected my decision, but clear about their policy that their patients must be vaccinated for the safety of the other children (which I agree with). Both doctors give out their personal cell phone numbers and you can call anytime day or night and they will return your call within 30 minutes. Dr. Pena encouraged breastfeeding until 12 months, but when pumping at work became difficult for me and I wanted to transition partly to formula but didn't have the money (husband recently let go from his job), Dr. Pena gave me a ton of formula for free and called another office where I was able to pick up even more for free. When I recently brought my son and realized his fever went up while waiting, they immediately brought me into a room, gave me medicine to reduce his fever and Dr. Pena saw me within a few minutes. My only recommendation is to ask the staff when is the best time to come in so you don't have a long wait. I have waited 2 hours before, but I expressed my frustration with the staff and they were apologetic and helpful. Since then I haven't had an issue with the wait time. Washington Heights is blessed to have such a great pediatrician and medical and administrative staff.

I have 14yr old daughters that have been going here for years n a 2yr old that also goes here and i am very happy with the service at this office. Everyone is great with the children. Both Doctors are reliable, reasonable, respectful, and what i love the most honest. The office is often open late and if closed, has a phone line working around the clock. Have received calls back from both PC during midnight hours while my child is sick. My children love this clinic and soon im having another child that without a doubt will be visiting the office also. Thank you for your services Stages

My child had to be seen urgently and was referred here. Before coming in I called and ask if my insurance is accepted at the clinic. I was told it was, I arrive to be told I have to call my insurance to change the PCP so my child to be seen. It took 2hrs to discover 1 of the providers doesn't take my insurance at all and the other takes it but is not accepting new patients. I was over it and decided to pay for the visit. The doctor saw my child for not more than 15 mins only to examine him which she didn't properly do as over night my child got an outrageous fever and had to be taken to the er to be told he has a double ear infection that he has had for weeks. Dr.Gamundi at stages never checked his ears and rushed me out her office. I was basically robbed by her as she now refuses to give me a refund after neglecting to check my child's ears. Eta* From one day to another ear infections don't occur and a check up consist of checking the ears so just because he wasn't there for that doesn't justify being neglected not having his ears checked and if she did which she didn't failed to be told about something that can be detrimental to a child's hearing. There is also no need for a facetious response regarding my child's health or what time of year it is.
