I have to say I am very disappointed with my experience at Coast Inn. There was a convention or something going on during my stay and all the people were completely blocking the hallways and taking over. I felt frustrated because they would not even move out of the way each time I was trying to get through the halls with my stuff. I feel they were only catering to the business people and did not care about anyone else staying there. They do not have any breakfast included just the Pipers restaurant down the hall that you can go to or get room service. I also heard slamming and loud noises throughout the night. I am not sure if people were fighting or what the deal was but I was too tired to get up and deal with it. I also saw security trying to get some random guy out of the hallway as he was trying to get in through the side door. The hallways smelled like weed pretty heavily throughout my stay. Overall I just feel for the price you can go somewhere with good service, a better quality room, and be more comfortable. Everything in the room felt cheap and the only people they cared about greeting or talking to were the people from the convention. The only good thing I would say about Coast inn is location because the airport is 5 mins away. They do also provide a shuttle at least. Rooms: Kinda run down
I think the hotel staff and Pipers may need to communicate a bit more, there was some confusion on the details of the breakfast voucher that we got. The rooms were pretty standard and the hallways were dirty in some spots but it did seem pretty busy when we stayed, so the cleaning staff may not have totally been able to keep up. Having the bar attached was nice to get a couple drinks and unwind. Overall good for the price if you need a quick place to stay.
We stayed here two different nights. Night one, service was better but room was terrible. On end of hallway on bottom floor and seemed like the hallway was warped and you were walking sideways. Second stay, front desk gal seemed checked out, however the room was in better shape. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every single footstep. One benefit is it is super close to the airport.
I have been staying here for years when traveling to work. The ladies at the front counter are the best,, The food at Pipers is really good and the transportation to and from the airport is on time. My only take from the hotel is that the bedding sometimes smells like someone else uses them, but will change them for you immediately if you let them know right away
The Hotel is in poor shape. The floors are heaving and the smells are unsavory. Overall a nasty old unmaintained place with a bit of lipstick on the interior. Don’t stay in room 183 on a windy night. The wind blows down the vents and creates a banging in the exhaust fan that will wake the dead. If you need a slightly dirty crash pad close to the airport with great shuttle service, this is the place to stay. You get what you pay for and a little less. Rooms: Wear shower shoes.
