We just stayed here overnight before our super-early departing flight. Great location, and there is a Speedway gas station 2 minutes up the road to fill up your rental car. Fast food is also available nearby. The staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and well appointed. I would stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
I stayed here over Thanksgiving for work and the hotel provided complimentary Thanksgiving dinner for all the guests. That gesture means alot to the people traveling for work who can't be with their families. Very heartwarming. They also gave me a chocolate bar upon check in. The staff was all very friendly. Made for a great stay.
Very happy with my stay. Arrived very late at night and Cora was very helpful, professional, polite, and friendly. Will definitely stay here again. Very convenient location great food and a Mexican restaurant just within 100ft walking distance.Rooms: 5/5
This is the most horrible experience I ever had with a Marriott brand hotel. The big attitude starts with the airport shuttle service. No service if you don't call. The driver didn't even bother to get out of driver seat and the shuttle smells leftover. There's no welcome gift for platinum members and help yourself with tap water. There's no concierge lounge and no free breakfast for platinum members. I found the hotel across the street is 10 times better. Avoid this hotel by all means.
Everything was great...until it wasn't. Every few months we treat the family to a stay-cation at a hotel with a pool. We have stayed here before since it is a nice place and has a good swimming pool and hot tub. I rented 2 rooms near the pool. The kids swam, the adults relaxed. Saturday night, the pool was busy with other families. Sunday morning, we went to the pool around 9 AM, it opens at 6. I had put down my things and proceeded to the hot tub when I was intercepted by a worker. He said" Are these children with you?" I replied "Yes", not realizing what would transpire. For the record, there were 8 children in the pool with other parents. Only 2 of the kids were mine. He proceeded to explain there was no "diving" allowed. I was confused since no one was "diving" into his pool. The rules are posted prominently with a helpful graphic of someone "diving" head first. I explained to him the difference between "diving" and kids jumping off of the edge of the pool feet first. He proceeded to argue with me until I told him I had enough and walked away to sit down. I went to the front desk where here was this gentleman explaining the situation to the clerks in front of other guests. He was unaware that I was standing behind him and was listening to the conversation. He was asking who was the manager on duty and that he had upset a guest. I raised my hand and made my presence known. He then proceeded to start the argument over. This upset me and I did get a bit indignant. One of the clerks became rude. I walked away, back to the pool. She followed me and in a rude manner, chastised everyone in the pool about following the rules, including the one they had just made up. The manager showed up. She didn't ask me what happened, just took the word of 2 rude employees. I asked her to show me in the posted rules where the children were not allowed to jump into the pool. She trotted out the "no diving" rule again. She said we had been told "nicely" to stop twice. The was nothing "nice" about it. She threatened to throw us out. I assume she meant all of the families since she had no idea which children were mine. The other families there were aghast at the behavior of the staff. I let her know I would not be returning. She said "That's fine". We got our things together and drove the half-mile home. Everything would have been fine if they had just avoided their power trip.
An amazing hotel for last minute canceled flight. The food and bar were beyond what you would expect from a Marriott hotel which is saying a lot! One negative her was the location, nothing within walking distance on Christmas eve that was open for activities. Which is understandable, given the time of the year. Luckily the bar and onsite bistro are outstanding and the rooms are cozy and clean. The other negative, which is minor, was the shuttle driver was excessively crabby when picking us up from the airport. It's less that a 3 minute drive and the only words said to us were "close the door all the way now". But we only had to deal with him for a few minutes. Rooms: Clean, spacious, plenty of outlets, but no usb charging station. Nearby activities: During the dead of winter, be ready to hire and lyft/Uber to get around. There is nothing walkable distance other than gas stations and other hotels. Walkability: Snow fencing and snow drifts make it a requirement to have boots and warm clothing to get around. Food & drinks: Prices are reasonable for in house bistro and bar. Food is decent as well and the bartender is a rockstar when it comes to making strong but great drinks and even when busy, he is friendly and on point. Noteworthy details: Unable to see northern lights due to light pollution. Not a negative, just something to note. Woke up to moose wandering and munching trees in the parking lot. So use caution and have a camera ready.
Rooms were clean. The mini fridge was a tad smaller than I'm used to. For the 10 days I was there everything was great. WiFi was fast enough to watch Netflix with.Rooms: 5/5
I was there 10 days. Housekeeping took 2 items from my room. The food is terrible and same thing everyday. My room was vacuumed once. My sheets were never changed although I requested them to be after 6 days. Noteworthy details: Management acts like we are intruding.
The only thing that upsets me is for two ppl to eat breakfast is 64 dollars. It's cheaper to take a cab to a restaurant and eat out and cab back to the hotel than to eat their breakfast. And that says something. Besides all that, this is a great hotel to stay at. Rooms: I bought a king size bed for 1 and holy, huge rooms with high ceilings. First floor comes with a slide door to the middle of the building. Nearby activities: Pot shop 5 min walk. Food & drinks: Great food at the restaurant that opens at 5pm. Negative emotions for a $32 breakfast. Noteworthy details: 5 min shuttle drive FM the airport
Toilet plugged, had to go down to the front desk, because they wouldn't answer the phone It was Saturday evening , there was no maintenance on duty. I asked for a plugger but she couldn't come up with one. Her answer was, "just don't use it". It's 8:30 in the evening.Rooms: 4/5
