Hyatt House Anchorage

I really liked my stay at the Hyatt House. The staff was welcoming and attentive. My room and overall building was clean. If there was any complaint, and this is really nitpicking, there was no alarm clock in my room. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, especially when most use the alarm clock on cell phones. I guess I'm old school and this was the first hotel I've been too and didn't have one. But don't let that keep you from staying at the Hyatt House. I would definitely stay here again.

Finally a decent place to stay in Anchorage. Clean room. Decent bar. Less decent food. Major downside was you can hear people talking from several rooms down. Zero sound isolation in this hotel. Every door opened, every door closed, every obnoxious kid running down the hall, every couple arguing. You get to hear it all.Rooms: 4/5

What a great comfortable place to stay. Price is midrange but for the price in this town, it is exceptional. Service is super friendly and the rooms are new, modern, and well appointed. I have a room with a kitchen and the maid even did my dishes! I did not expect nor want that, I just didn't have time on my way to work. Expected to do them when I returned. To be honest, I even spilled a couple drops of ketchup on my mattress cover white and noticed that they even changed that out. Nice attention to detail!

My wife and I are very light sleepers and we rarely hear anything. Staff has been great and helpful. They meet our requests in a fast and timely manner. The room is clean, spacious,modern and extremely comfortable. The studio has everything you need. The location is 6 minutes away from the airport. They have a bar and food menu.Rooms: 5/5

Staff was very helpful upon our arrival to Anchorage. They called for a shuttle and had us to the lobby in just a few minutes. Front desk was very welcoming when we checked in. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean too. I would stay here again.Rooms: 5/5

We stayed here before an early morning flight and it's in a perfect location. They offer a free shuttle to the Ted Stevens International Airport. The hotel itself is large and modern and very nice. The lobby area is large and bright. The people I talked to at the check in desk were all friendly and helpful. Our room was really big and clean and extremely comfortable. The free WiFi was the fast. There is a gym and a pool. We ordered hamburgers from the restaurant and the woman even offered to bring them to our rooms for us. The hamburgers were large and tasted very good. We'd stay here again if coming through Anchorage.

The breakfast is by far the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. I’m not even a breakfast person but I am while I stay here. They have fresh eggs and sausage or bacon every morning with either potatoes or French toast. They have breakfast sandwiches and burritos you can heat up if you’re on the go. They also have cereal, pastries, fruit, milk, ample tea and coffee to choose from. The chef takes a lot of pride in his job and keeps everything well stocked and interacts with the guest. In my opinion this really makes the hotel shine brighter than the many we’ve stayed in. The room we’re in has a fold out couch large enough for my two sons. The housekeeping is awesome, our room was immaculate. Honestly I am so impressed! The pool area and gym are also very clean and well put together. I am utterly impressed and shocked the reviews aren’t even better. The tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available 24/7 in the lobby at no extra charge. I highly recommend! We’re staying here for two weeks it’s been four days so far and our stay has been so great already I had to leave a review! I will attach photos soon. I read the reviews before we stayed here because we have three children and I wanted a safe environment and the other reviews do not do this hotel justice. Everything you need to cook and eat is in the room. We are staying on the second floor, there’s coin laundry which is so convenient. My husband and I have traveled a lot being that he is a military member and we have family all over the world and I have to say this hotel is definitely the best we’ve stayed at in the United States. I appreciate they have hot/boiling water available in the lobby at all times which can be very important for international travelers who enjoy tea or warm water to drink. It’s the little things like the entryway compartment, dishwasher and blackout blinds that make this stay exceptional.
