Aspen Suites Hotel Anchorage

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. Everything is relatively new and our room included a full mini kitchen! The room was also spacious and had a nice sofa. This was definitely the nicest stay over our two week trip to Alaska 8 different places. As a bonus, we got a 10% discount at the Bear Paw restaurant which was walking distance from the hotel. It was so good, we went twice.

I stayed here for a week as a base location during a bucket list trip travelling around Alaska - it proved to be the perfect location, central within Anchorage with quick and easy access to the highways north and south out towards Fairbanks and Seward. The room was excellent, plenty of space with a large comfortable bed, seating area and a full bathroom. There was also a full size fridge/freezer and kitchen equipped with a microwave oven allowing you to save on eating out. There was plenty of parking, the staff were friendly as anything and the check in was easy even though I had a very late arrival on a Sunday night. Walkability: The streets around the hotel have plenty of sidewalks and crossings which allow for you to walk to a number of amenities close by which is a bonus in an American city. A car is still advised however.

The rooms are basic, spacious and clean but the floors and ceilings are thin. All I can hear is the person above me walking around their room. It’s so loud I had to put ear plugs in until then went to bed.Rooms: 3/5

I was looking for a place closer to the airport with a reasonable price. This place was exceptional! Quiet, roomy, clean, and comfortable. Would stay again!Rooms: 5/5

We booked a room months in advance prior to our arrival. We were even responsible and brought a copy of the reservation with us. We show up on the night of our reservation and are met by the security guard. He informed us that we did not have a reservation. My wife of course broke out the proof of our reservation. He looked at it and went back to a different room. He was gone for about 5 minutes and then returned with less than expected information. He informed us that there were no more rooms left and we would have to find a different hotel. What else needs to be said but I would strongly encourage you to book else where.

We booked 4 months prior and behold no reservation. No reason, no email, no phone call regarding our cancelation but its our fault for not checking? The 1st person who picked up our phone call was insanely rude and did not gave me a chance to speak up. Hung up when I tried to explain. I was surprised you would hang up mid conversation when I was explaining what happened. Before making this review I saw someone who had the exact experience so obviously this is an common occurrence. I cannot recommend this hotel to other people unfortunately

Perfect spot for a hotel. Easy in and out to maximize time spent in the CITY. The price is right with a friendly staff and working crew. Rented the double queen option which proves comfortable and quiet. Keep up the great hospitality for up and coming customers. Thank you, A satisfied customer.

Our room was clean and had everything we needed in it! The hotel staff were friendly and approachable, and the lobby area and halls were well kept! 10/10! My husband was very impressed! which is hard to do lolRooms: 5/5
