My partner and I were looking for a breakfast spot to try that we haven’t been to so we decided to come here today. We were warmly welcomed and seated right away. We ordered the avocado toast and the bacon and eggs. I was not a fan of the avocado toast. It didn’t taste like fresh avocado, it tasted more like guacamole. It didn’t taste like fresh guacamole and we came here at opening hour. My partner didn’t enjoy the bacon and felt it wasn’t fresh. The red chili was not hot. The service was great and the ambiance was beautiful. The bill was $24 for two breakfast items. We didn’t order any drinks or get salsa. I wouldn’t come back for breakfast. I might come back to try the lunch or the cocktail menu.
Wow the red salsa is HOT!! A little warning would have been nice. Still very good salsa all together. Entree came out. We both got "street tacos" yummy. They give you 6 and you really only need 3. We took a full meal home. I expected to get sopapillas or at least asked if we wanted dessert. We didn't but still would have been nice to be asked. Food was good, not excellent but good. Service was ok. If you found this review helpful please let me know by clicking "helpful"... It helps my feelings. Thanks.
Amazing breakfast. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was on another level. The pancakes delicious nice light crunch then a soft warm interior. The coffee and teas are locally purchased and very good. Atmosphere is very comfortable. 5 stars I will make this my first option for breakfast from now on. The fresh greens with the hash browns a delightful surprise. Everyone must try this place. Can't wait for dinner and lunch options. Great job everyone there!!!
Absolutely delicious food. I inadvertently visited on Taco Tuesday and was delighted to discover their normally $3.50 ala cart tacos were only $2.00 I ordered two ribeye, one pulled pork and one brisket taco along with a side of refried beans and a chips and guac side. It was delicious and worth every penny.
Greeted, seated, and served by José, who was friendly, prompt, and professional. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The only criticism would be the hashbrowns were lukewarm. The eggs were perfect for my requested over easy. Toast was huge and tasty, the chicken fried steak was superb with the green chilie chicken gravy highly recommend! Finished off with the pineapple upside-down cake which was good, though maybe not great; served hot against the cold ice cream which was delightful.
Service was great. Our server was personable and polite. The food was above and beyond good. Quantity was more than adequate. Sides were not necessary. BTW, the price on the combination plate was very reasonable.
The service was enough but not above and beyond. A pretty mediocre experience but they were also likely a little busier as the Balloon Fiesta was happening and I doubt they are used to this many people at 9 AM. The food was ok but certainly nothing special. New Mexican food can easily be found that would be better.
So many people rant and rave about this place so I thought I'd try it out....Definitely a no, if you've had New Mexican food anywhere else then this place is not for you, it's not even mexican food, it's what people who have never had mexican food in their life would think was mexican food. The "salsa" was like a red chile sauce that you'd put on a burrito or enchiladas, it was like they thought they did something, but really it was flop. The service was absolutely noteworthy in probably all the bad ways possible. Our waiter would answer our questions over his shoulder as he was walking off. He never offered more water or really checked on us. The green chile stew was ok enough, but The street tacos were just steak on a tortilla, not marinated, not anything special. If you're in the mood for something delicious and cozy place to eat, this is not it. Save your time, save your money.
Service here has gone down. Online order indicated that the service and food will be ready by 7:10 right now. It’s 734 person came out said it’s gonna be about another two more minutes and we are still waiting. We finally received our order at 7:39 and it was wrong. The family was hungry, so we just took it because two out of the four items are correct. Unfortunately, I would not recommend and tell her Services pick up. They used to have some great people.
The chips were ok, the salsa or chili, is only red blended sauce, as if they were to put it on enchilada’s, the green is actual green chili just blended. They don’t bring you drinks we have been here for 21 mins n they just asked us now what we would like to drink. Theirs is also two hosts who are just talking n giggling, why 2 hosts for a restaurant that has 3tables of customers? Makes no sense. The eggs have a slight stale taste, the hash browns are just grated potatoes lightly fried and half uncooked. The carne adovada was a decent attempt. The disappointment of the meal was the sopapilla. Their thick and spongy. And the honey is cheap. I asked for tortilla and that was like paper ish.. the waitress was nice, but I have a feeling the chef is not a Mexican food or even New Mexican chef. The presentation of the plate was nice. Their cups were old and the letters were chipped off. I have a feeling my annoyance with the food itself is making me pick apart other non meaningful things around this place. But I will say never again. And the music is club music. This is a horrible situation to pay to eat.
