Coffin Cellars Winery

Interesting local winemaker. Their wines are not the typical sweet local grape wines found so often in the region, instead they have found ways to make drier, more tart wines using local fruits and vegetables. The Black Currant and the Raspberry wines make especially good, refreshing sippers. If you like spicy food, be sure to try their Jalapeno wine -- it has a strong fresh jalapeno nose and a blast of quickly dissipating heat. It's not a wine for sipping but works as a great ingredient in cocktails and cooking. The tasting room is a work of art -- a restored old farm building loving restored by a talented craftsman.

As always, a delightful experience at Coffin Cellars today. The family uses a variety of local ingredients, many grown on the property, to create unique and delicious wines. If you have not stopped by the tasting room you are missing out on a great NH destination!
