AWFUL!!! Worst Experience Ever!!! Here is my experience at Columbia Opticians. I am a Columbia student. I placed my order on 11/16/2022. I haven't received my correct order until now. I was very disappointed, and I eventually have to cancel my order after waiting for almost two months. The shipment process was crazy, and the refund process was complicated, additionally you have to deal with aggressive employees with their attitudes. Besides the continuously changing shipment date and long waiting process. I requested for 6 months contact lenses supply, but they ordered me 2 months supply for 210$ dollars! They also ship me a different brand contact lenses which is cheaper and different than what was clearly listed on my prescription! They did not provide me with any receipts or send me with any confirmation emails. After waiting for so long, I was totally out of contact lenses, but they provided me with trails that not fit my prescription at all, which I couldn't see the blackboard in class and signs on the street. It was horrible! They seem have poor system and connect with the manufacturing factory. Overall, the experience was HORRIBLE!!! You probably paying much higher price and have to wait extremely long time for wrong orders!!!
Everyone was so nice and efficient. I got amazing help on choosing frames that compliment my face and now I can see more clearly than I ever have.
I've been going to Columbia Opticians since 2008 when I began graduate work at Columbia University. My program ended in 2012 and TEN YEARS after that, they're still my go-to for eye health, contacts and frames. The staff are so kind and go out of their way to work with what you have insurance/limited insurance/no insurance to help make everything affordable. In this day and age, when so much can be done online and so much shifts to franchises, I really appreciate the community ethics and focus on care of their business.
We came to this place because its right next to our building. Doctor is good but the place carry very cheap frames. My sons frame started coming out in just three months. When contacted they are saying that its manufacturing defect and refuse to do anything about it and also the staffs are very rude. Stay away from this place.
Really nice place! The staff was so nice and quick and the doctor was super sweet. The whole experience was smooth.
If I bring up a concern and all you do is shrug and suggest a medical exam at an extra cost...I don't like it. I requested a signature prescription never received it.
After being locked up due to Covid, walking into this place was like a warm embrace. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The Dr. Is fabulous. I felt very comfortable. Would recommend it to everyone.
Love the staff! The optician is such a sweet heart does very thorough exams and is very patient to learn what prescription glasses and contacts works best for you. I always return to them for products and exams.
This is a wonderful practice and doctor. Caring and knowledgeable. Staff is amazing and they have a great selection of frames. Doctor takes his time to talk to patients about their eyes and what is needed to be done. They are very helpful to choose the right pair of glasses. Highly recommend.
Guys, don't be scared away by the bad reviews, it's currently well run and the doctor is excellent. I haven't used them for eyeglasses but I had my eye exam and contact lenses done here and it was a timely, professional, and proficient process. I never leave reviews, but I had to leave this one because I almost didn't go after seeing the poor ratings.
