Nice hotel, good staff, a little dated and could use a facelift. But generally clean and functional. Gym: dumbbells set, free bench, two treadmills two elliptical machines. Both treadmills out of order, pool lift out of order, but areas clean, water clear. Breakfast was typical with hot eggs and meat kept well refreshed, waffle makers and toaster for bread. Cereals, juice machine. Adequate but not too many options. Room was spacious and modern TV. Nice furniture and fixtures, but some light bulbs burned out made it a little dark in places. Bathroom was clean and quite large with good water pressure and adequate hot water. Bed linens were comfortable, but slightly worn. Everything was good except the lights. In general, a good hotel due for an update. I'd definitely stay here again.
I was in Fargo for one night visiting friends and chose this hotel because it was located just a short drive from their home. I made my reservation through the Choice website and check in was very quick and easy. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted and recognized as a Choice Privileges Member. The employees at this hotel were very helpful and friendly during my stay and were more than willing to go the extra distance to ensure guest have an enjoyable stay. My room was clean and well attended. The beds were well made and comfortable and I was able to enjoy a good night’s sleep. I did not take advantage of the breakfast offering as I chose to have breakfast with my friends before leaving town. This hotel offers free Wi-Fi which was strong and worked well during my entire stay. There is ample free parking in a well-lit lot. I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the Fargo Area.
If you are staying in Fargo for a hockey related event, it is a great location. It is right across the street from the primary youth hockey rink. In fact, walking there from the hotel is faster than driving there, parking, and walking. It is also only a 5m drive to the other rink, which is where the Fargo Force play. The staff was excellent to work with. The lobby is disconnected from the rooms enough that a group gathering there doesn't disturb the guests. However, the available TV for the area doesn't allow you to connect your own device which is a very specific problem that few will care about. The rooms area a great size and have a good layout. They are showing signs of wear and tear, but not to a degree that they should be avoided.
We booked using our credit card which is a comfort inn card. We where not allowed to use the points on the stay as it was already booked and changes could not be changed according to both the hotel and the credit card and corporate number. I will be dumping that card. Also the hot tub was marked closed by the state or the city for contamination. The main reason we went to this hotel was the hot tub and spending time with our adult children in the hot tub around the pool. Their was another issue they messed up on that I will not going into detail on here about. If I could give a zero I would. It was horrible customer service. Also you go to the front desk and a sign stands staying I'm helping other customers. No one around to help you out. Said would be back soon stood for 20 minutes no one showed up. Left a survey card asked to be called back never got a call back. In order for me to stay here again they would have to give me a free stay to prove I get what I paid for the last time. Obviously they have problems if the hot tub was shut down by the state or city for a week.
Overall stay was a NIGHTMARE! Checked into our room family got comfortable then realized bed bug's on mattress and on the seals of the mattress by headboard! Removed belongings threw away what we could while contacting front desk and the hotel staff approached us to address the problem and looked at me and wife like this was okay....They said to Us!!!!!...... well just put you're family into another room. We wanted be refunded and be out the door ASAP! Please be careful before renting room here nice hotel but has bug infestation!
Long story short I stay here every Time I come to Fargo. This last time had a guest who was being loud all night long. Called the front desk twice and went down to the front desk as well. This went on until 6 am the next morning. My wife and I never got any sleep. We bring it up to the GM and get told did you call which we did and then get told of you would called 3 times we would have asked them to leave. No apology wouldn’t comp me a room or even gove me deal on a room. Sorry but that shouldn’t have even happened 3 times they were told to quite down and not once did it happen. Doubt I wil being staying here again.
