**EDIT: Since I can’t reply to the comment below, these events all happened within the past year and a half. If that’s “too far back to verify”, then they also need better record keeping. The events in this review are facts that actually happened. Whether or not they have evidence themselves, it’s true. The reply below is a poor response from the company. According to most of the reviews with bad experiences, Concept Property Management can’t take responsibility for their actions.** At first when we were looking for a place to rent, the communication was great. They were very attentive and fast to reply to get us a place lined up. When you call the office phone number, they always answer and do what they can to help. They especially take pride in making the beginning feel like a breeze. But after we became tenants and when we were moving out, the communication became horrible, especially our property manager’s communication! When it came time to renew our lease, our property manager Jocelin would ignore our efforts to get in contact with her. We were told by the office multiple times that they were waiting on her as well. It took over a month for her to get back to us. Around a year after moving in, we began to smell mold in our vents. We submitted maintenance requests, spoke with the office, and once again we were completely ignored by Jocelin. It went on for weeks over a month of smelling mold before finally being resolved. The only way we had it fixed was by getting the regional manager’s email and explaining to her that our property manager was falling short and not even talking to us at all. After moving out, we got our confirmation for our security deposit refund via email. We waited a month after that email, but the refund check never arrived. Their “accounting department” said that it was being processed over multiple days— even though we received an email over a month prior telling us that it was processed already. We had to call multiple times, and in the end basically demand they get it figured out in order for them to actually send us our money. Also, my husband’s car was scratched pretty bad by their landscapers, but they didn’t find a way to make it right. He just had it completely repainted a week prior, so it was pretty obvious what happened and upsetting that they wouldn’t even try to resolve the situation. If you do use Concept Property, I advise you to find a property that is NOT managed by Jocelin at all, I’ve never had a property manager simply not care about my well being like she did. And be aware that your security deposit may never get returned if you don’t stay consistent! Overall, living at the property was okay. But the experiences of trying to communicate with them made it bad for us.
Super amazing to work with. Upfront with all fees and what I would be responsible for. My favorite thing is how great their communication is. The gal I worked with was amaze balls to the moon. I feel like she got as excited about me getting the apartment as I was getting approved for the apartment. So if you looking for a good quality apartment that offers a mini celebration party through text message. This company is for you!!!!
Concept employs kind people. The previous property managers never picked up their phone, answered emails, and were never in their offices. Concept Property Management does everything we need. A maintenance gentleman, Andrew, showed up right after our requests. Him going through and troubleshooting our apartment was a nice experience. He's friendly and a good conversationalist, as well as respectful. Five stars for Andrew and Concept Property Management, a good company.
I lived at a property they managed for 2 years many years ago. They were attentive and responsive. They take pride in the condition of their properties. I recently went through the rental prices with Madison. She's extremely helpful and has solidified in my mind that concept property is the best management company in Utah, at least
I have been nothing but impressed with the helpful and knowledgable people over at Concept Property, especially Madison! She has been so kind and attentive while helping me to find the perfect apartment. Questions never go unanswered, which is always appreciated! If it's not managed by Concept Property, I'm not looking at it. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars!
The property is really nice, along with the management. But that was just in the beginning, when I first moved in they asked for a large deposit due to my credit. I have been under the impression that my deposit was refundable and now they get to keep it. But now they are saying I won’t get my deposit back unless all the other roommates move out. They were there when I moved in. I’m in an uncomfortable living situation with a long term roommate and do not think it’s too fair how they want to handle this situation. $1000 is a lot of money that I don’t have I need a new living situation asap. This deposit refund would help me stay afloat but they get greedy! At this point I need just enough to secure a new apartment they could keep half my deposit for all I care. The room was gross when I moved in and even now it’s better than before. The older roommate is rude and tough to live with, I would now be the second person she has pushed out.
My first and second apartment have both been from this management and I’ve had a good experience both times. The staff respond quickly, are very polite, and do their best to help throughout the moving process and well after. My personal experience with Maria was amazing too, she was super sweet, responds really quickly and reached out to the landlord to help me and my roommates move in a bit earlier due to other circumstances. Thank you!
Never had such a difficult time with a lease. Don’t expect your deposit back. Don’t expect maintenance in a timely fashion, if at all. You can expect shady promises, money grubbing, and little cooperation. I’ve never had a company so blatantly make up reasons not to return a security deposit. If we put in a maintenance request, we were lucky if it was done that week, and more often than not the maintenance led to another problem that we had to fix ourselves. Overall, a very frustrating stay, that seemed consistent with the other tenants in our complex. If you’re looking for customer service, keep looking.
Sara Hildebrand, was extremely helpful and professional. Top tier communication and kindness. She was very thorough with her explanations, all while maintaining professionalism and coming across as extremely personable. She set us up with the cutest apartment. We couldn't be happier!
i have been with Concept Properties for 18 months and I highly recommend this agency. Very professional, understanding, and patient, very fast response times when contacted. Their rentals are clean, up to date, and comparable in pricing. I have really enjoyed renting from them.
