I just finished my class with Alma. I took my first ever Pilates this weekend at Core too. I am absolutely in love with it! First off, the teachers are so talented and thoughtful about the way they interact with clients. Second, this place is chill and no pressure to look a certain way or dress in designer sets, etc. Overall, I feel very welcome and physically the classes are challenging and fun! Would def recommend, especially if you’re like me—a midsized girl who likes to wear sweats and a messy bun to any workout, all good vibes here!
I have been coming to Core for over a year now, and from the start I have had great experiences with almost every teacher. I also appreciate how clean the space is, and the changing rooms, and the big windows. I go to a few other studios around town, but whenever I am at Core I know for sure that I am in good hands. I have a few physical issues that can get in my way, but the teachers there are attentive and helpful, without making me feel inadequate. They really listen. I am truly grateful I found Core Pilates NYC. It is definitely my home studio!
I love Core Pilates. Been coming to the studio since 2014. Loved the classes and teacher so much I enrolled in teacher training and haven’t looked back! The 30/30 reformer tower classes are so fun and the chair classes are my jam. Anything that challenges balance and involves work strength is music to my pilates heart!
Core Pilates NYC is my Pilates home in NYC. I’ve been taking classes there for about 3-4 years. I became Mat certified and Comprehensively certified to teach Pilates here because I was inspired by Instructors like Dan and Laura. Core does Classical Pilates better than any studio I know and they do it with a fun, hip vibe and community focus. Core feela like family.
Core Pilates NYC is a fantastic Pilates studio with state of the art equipment, experienced & professional teachers, and has challenging classes for the Pilates student ranging from beginner to advanced. The teachers stem from a classical background but bring a contemporary spirit to class. I always feel a great mind/body connection during my classes here, and my body has seen positive changes because of it.
one of the best boutique studios in NYC! while mat pilates can be effective, i find pilates on equipment so much more fun and varied and love the group atmosphere. the space is light, clean and airy and it’s a perfect mind body escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. i leave feeling so much more centered and powerful!
I'm a Pilates Teacher and I did it for 7 years in a Rehabilitation Center in Europe. When I moved here I wished to continue my workout and, reading reviews, I decided to go to Core Pilates. Such a disappointment!!! Mat Classes are overbooked even if the website says 15, there're always at least 17 people and it's almost impossible to excersise properly. The employee are mean and they treat you as you owen them something. Booking online is difficult, the system is often stock and when it run again you are in the wrong class. Don't expect help or assitance. Some teachers are good, but just a few and you have to book a private or semiprivate session to do something good. the other teachers'' ego is too big to make a good job.
A beautiful light filled studio, spare but not lacking in props or equipment. The teachers are the real deal and I feel like my progress is important to them. In the years I’ve been going there I have totally learned how to use my body differently and I truly appreciate the support!
Hurts so good! Love feeling my dormant abdominal muscles wake up and pay attention. I always leave Core with a spring in my step! Big plus: the clean, bright studio is in a super convenient location.
Their prenatal classes are the best! I cannot recommend enough! Teachers are so knowledgeable and helpful. They help each person individually even in the public classes. I always booked online and had never experienced any problems.
