Office staff is extremely rude and uncaring. My car was being damaged by their sprinklers spraying directly on my car and I would’ve moved my car, but I paid for that parking spot. The only other parking spot they offered me was across the complex they refused to fix the sprinkler. Then when I chose to move out after my lease was up, they decided to charge me $500 for I have no idea what. rent somewhere else it’s not worth dealing with staff that does not care and the owner doesn’t even live in New Mexico so there is no one else you can talk to you other than the extremely rude, female staff. Good luck
I was visiting my friend the other night and parked my car in an empty car spot in the back with no hood over the parking spot. I know I can’t park under the covered parking spaces because those are for residents. After I parked my car for only 3hrs to go visit with her they towed my car. I parked in the ONLY empty spot around the premises and there was no indication showing that visitors can’t park in that spot. I wouldn’t suggest advising family to move here unless you’re okay with not visiting them. The parking lot was packed and the one time I go visit my car gets towed? It’s ridiculous what they charge people for apartments and parking lots like this! Update: I went in to discuss this matter but nothing was resolved. The manager in the office didn’t even know the person and had no idea who wrote the response asking me to come in to my original review. I wasted my gas and time. In no time these apartments value will hit the floor.
Horrible place. Really immature staff and rude. I was about to close on a house but just in case something didn't go right; i decided hey ill check out the cottonwoods. I so happen to know one of the staff members who i went to school with, mind you this was 21 years ago. I also moved away 15 years ago! Let the past be the past. Move on. Well she gave me attitude then did not want to help me. So she had the younger leasing agent help me. She was also extremely rude and had attitude. It was ridiculous almost 40 year old acting like a teenager. Don’t rent from here even if its inexpensive living. I would rather pay CA prices and go somewhere else. Please staff fix your personalities. Be kind
I lived here for about 4 years. It was a pleasant experience. The apartments were nice, It was always quiet, the staff was nice, and all of my maintenance request were always resolved either same day or next day. There were two issues I had while living here. The first problem was the mailboxes kept getting broken into, at some point they just started holding all mail at the office. It was a bit of an inconvenience, but it was either that or having my mail stolen. They finally renovated and updated the mailbox area a week before I moved out so I’m guessing the issue has been resolved. The second issue was parking. While I did not mind parking far, there were sometimes when the lot was completely full, so I would have to park at Longhorn Steakhouse. I finally caved and decided to pay for a covered parking spot. I highly recommend doing so, as it will make your experience living here better. I lived on a third floor unit with a view of the pool, so that was nice. In my opinion they are the most reasonably priced apartments in the cottonwood area, and I feel like they offer the best and value for the price. Overall I enjoyed living here.
These apartments are a complete joke, the only thing positive I can say is the maintenance people are nice, but the front office, it’s pretty depressing. 0 help from anyone, and the majority of the time all they can say is “ we would like you to discuss these issues with you directly” and nothings ever resolved. There’s never parking , and they worry more about booting vehicles than making sure they’re not vandalized. There’s a reason these apartments are rated the way they are .
If I could rate this place zero starts I would… We have had break ins with our cars. People in the office are horrible to speak to. They do not offer any assistance. They have horrible attitudes and do not respect the residents who live here. There is no lighting at night for the complex which leads to people breaking in, gun shots being fired, appliances not working. Security supposedly patrols but only boots vehicles who don’t have a pass. We regret living here for so long and warn anyone who wants to live here. Please save yourself the money and the time. The only decent here thing is maintenance. The communication is horrible between them and the office. Cottonwood will respond to my review here and say how they will want to help but trust me all they do I argue just to save a couple of dollars. PLEASE don’t live here. Update: just like I said they would respond. Brianna if you are the one responding to these reviews please stop with the generic responses and actually do something for your residents. I will not call the office and I hope that everyone please listens to all the reviews on google as they are spot on.
I lived here for almost three years Nov. 2018 - Oct. 2021 and I have to say it was not the greatest. Unfortunately I have to give it one star because of several issues during my time here. Among the biggest were dealing with mice, car break-ins, and ultimately my wife's car being stolen from the lot. There's really not much the staff can do about break-ins and stolen vehicles, but the reality is the location right off of coors bypass is not ideal. With homelessness and crime becoming a huge issue in Albuquerque, this complex is exposed to one of the busiest roads. Definitely consider other options before coming here.
Before I moved in, I said a needed someplace quiet since I work from home. I was placed on the noisiest side. Then someone has started stealing my packages. Notified the office, hoping that something would go out to the complex to let everyone know. Nothing has been done to address it. I was so excited to move in but have been disappointed instead.
Getting your car towed in this place happens ALL the time. Even if you're parked in a "visitor" parking spot....you'll get booted/towed right away. I even had my car towed when I was parked in my own assigned spot.
Where to start. Within one month of moving in my car was towed with no notification. The refrigerated air sounds like a freight train is in the room. Can’t hear to have a conversation. The lock on the mail room has been extremely difficult to open for over a year and now for a week and a half, again with No notification, all mail is being returned to the post office. They say they are repairing the lock to to mail room. Even with 2 locks that should have not still be pending, I am disabled and have my medication delivered. Now they have been returned to sender along with our mail. This doesn’t only affect me, it affects everyone who lives here! Trust me, this place is not worth your consideration. FYI, the same company also own the Aspens and Eagle ranch apartments. RENTER BEWARE! Biggest mistake ever renting here. Also last year when they re-saved the parking lot residents needed to move their cars so work could be done. A hassle but understandable. I went to get in my car to find is missing. The people paving the lot decided to switch their plan an towed cars wherever they wanted. I thought my car had been stolen. The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life!
