Count Basie Center for the Arts

First time at Count Basie, though I had heard good things for some time. We saw a production of RENT and it was terrific! The cast was very talented and engaging, the set was extremely well done and the house was packed! The venue itself has been beautifully refurbished and is well equipped with bar/refreshments. The only forewarning I have is that the seats are a little snug, so if you are a larger person (width or height), you may find the seating a bit cramped. Otherwise, I highly recommend this theater and will be returning!

Loved everything except seating was very crowed, not enough leg room, plus seats alone were very very small. Show was outstanding, The Midtown Men, 4 original cast members from Jersey Boys, Broadway play. Reviewing songs from the 60's. WONDERFUL!

Love this theather! Phoenix Productions does wonderful shows. Haven't ever seen a show here that I didn't enjoy the experience whether it be a play or z band The acoustic are superb, the architecture is beautiful the staff extremely friendly and helpful. See any show here you won't be disappointed!!

Great place to see a show if they have an artist your into. Setup is ready and acoustics are amazing. There isn’t a bad place to sit in the whole place. I’ve seen comedy shows and concerts and I’ve always had a good time. Go early because parking is a circus.

Great place for a show. Sound is exceptional and a pretty comfortable place. Good restaurants nearby. Sometimes parking can be a challenge, but the garage is only a few blocks walk.
