Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fargo, ND

I will have to start off to say I wasn't an overnight guest just attending a celebratory event. I walked into the hotel greeted with the smell of fresh-baked cookies and hot coffee definitely very homely feel right as you walk in with the fireplace and nice chairs definitely gave me a feel of spending an afternoon at my Southern Grandma's country style house. Nice people there waiting to greet you to your every need. I did a quick walk around just to take a look at what this hotel has to offer. Definitely that southern-style country living filled the hallways as I walked around looking for the main event. I would definitely say a fine place to sit back and relax while you're staying in Fargo.

Stayed 5 nights in a standard king. Room was fairly clean. Did find some questionable stains on comfortable and had it changed. The smallest bathroom I have ever stayed in. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Breakfast was pretty good with many options. I would stay here again.

This location is nothing like the other chain locations. It was very dated and run down. The suite was not clean, the house keeping was horrible. Our suite was very hot and turning the thermostat down did not help. We did not have a window to open for air as the window looked over the dining area. After 5 hours we finally asked to move. There were 2 other suites vacant but they couldn't put us in one of them because they were dirty as house keeping did not clean them. The lady at the desk was very friendly and apologetic and moved us to 2 other rooms, where we had to split our family up. Not a big deal. But when we got to the new rooms, 1 of them was not cleaned properly either. There were pistachio shells on the floor as well as in the hallway. The pool area was old and dirty. The only positive was the front desk lady and the breakfast. The breakfast area was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful and tasty.

We stay there all the time. During the winter months we're there about ever weekend for hockey. Sometimes two nights. Room is always clean and we usually get the same room as it is the handicap accessible room. It's not the motels fault. We frequently get boxed in, in the handicapped parking. The last time having to wait for the ABLE BODIED person to check out. We've decided we will park closer to the curb. Allowing us to use the Van Accessible parking and not allowing enough room for another car to squeeze in. Country Inn isn't the only place it happens. Country Inn has done a great job of keeping people from crowding the Handicapped spot. So the cars that blocked us in were likely late check-ins.

Staff are very friendly, pool is kept up, but the rooms could use some updating and repairs. Rooms are clean except I found someone else's clothes in the washroom. The bathroom dosen't lock because the door is out of alignment with the door lock. The AC/Heater wasn't tested as it wasn't used, but the casing is falling of unit. The other repair would be for the fridge which is also falling apart. Other then some repairs it's not too bad for a quick stay.
