Great trainers and facility. My dog has been attending day camp and training classes for some time. Highly recommended.
All the trainers at Courteous Canine are true professionals that know their stuff. They assisted us in overcoming behavioral issues and working with our dogs to achieve their AKC Canine Good Citizen and Community certificates. The class sizes were smaller and offered one to one attention. Our dogs looked forward to their classes and had fun.
I got the private training for my dog, as we have been having trouble with certain commands. Upon the $225 dollar "consultation" visit, the trainer sat there for 30 minutes asking few questions and no interaction with my dog, got up and left. Each session after is 165$, which is listed nowhere on their site. The packet I received had basic commands and tricks, which can be helpful, but the "report" at the start looked to be written by a middle schooler. I understand people need to make a living, but these prices are ridiculous for no interaction with the dog. Instead of trying to work out better pricing or negotiate with the customer about unsatisfactory service, I was added a charge with a late fee. I'm sure the trainings could be helpful if they were able to schedule weekly, but barely once a month scheduling provides no progress. To those who have the money to throw I'm sure it's a decent service, but be careful about the scheduling.
Stella and I loved puppy kindergarten! Sam and her assistant Molly taught us a lot! We signed up for the next class focused puppy!
Our journey with Courteous Canine LLC began after several trainers either quit or recommended we isolate our teenage Great Pyrenees. A friend recommended Karen when she realized how overwhelmed, discouraged and reclusive we were becoming. Ironically, socialization is what we needed but were actively avoiding. We enrolled in Feisty Fido classes and moved onto Unleashed DayCamp with Karen's encouragement. She identified breed traits, the need for more structure and confidence building for all of us. Camp groups encourage positive social behavior, some training & provide a play setting, where he can be with others while being himself. The fact that he made friends at camp was an added bonus & heartwarming!
I am the owner of a 1 year old goldendoodle and our family contacted Karen at Courteous Canine when our dog was about 4 months old. She was destructive chewing as well as going through typical bad mannered puppy behaviors that we wanted to nip in the butt before they became habits. We have utilized their at home training services as well as their Unleashed Day Camp. Mia now has been attending camp for almost a year. Unleashed Day Camp has been a wonderful way for Mia to socialize with a variety of breeds, work on manners, burn energy, as well as keep busy while everybody is at work. Karen, Sam, and Heather have all been absolutely wonderful with Mia and her behaviors have improved tremendously. Mia has gone from being a lot to handle to an absolute joy! We can't thank them enough! What set Your Courteous Canine apart from other trainers we looked into was their wide variety or services offered, their ability to accommodate to each dog and family's individual needs, and their unique approach to improving your dog's behaviors!
Enjoyed going and meeting other puppies with our puppy Ruby. Easy going instructor with a very sweet assistant. Very knowledgeable and kind.
My pup Scout attends daycare 3 days a week. He is excited the minute we pull into the parking lot! He comes home tired and happy! I also like that they do light grooming clip his nails and individual training sessions with the dogs!
