Courtyard by Marriott Portsmouth

Road trip! Second time here. Great, convenient location. Right off the highway. 1 mile to Portsmouth. I loved that the concierge remembered me from last time, and made sure that I had no we-if problems. Very nice lobby and restaurant area! This will be our go to place for the next 4 years. 🍀👒 4/1/18 Back again. Great to see that they have upgraded and redone the rooms.

Bottom floor smelt like dog pee and there is a lot of freeway noise. But the staff was very friendly and attentive. The shuttle down town was really cool, but sucked it stopped at 10 and didn't run on Sunday. Also the bar/restaurant closed at 10 also.

The service was really good. We asked for a sewing kit and the front staff brought it up expeditiously. They also extended our checkout so the kids can swim in the pool longer. There is a nice outdoor fire that the indoor swimming pool opens up to. People bring beer and sit there while their kids play in the pool.

I have Silver Elite status with Marriott and even though that is the lowest category this is the first Marriott property that didn't give me a special gift or perk upon check-in. I would not recommend this property to other elite members. Otherwise it is clean and the staff is friendly. This is one of the only hotels in the area that doesn't offer a complimentary breakfast so if that matters to you then go somewhere else, there are many other hotel options in the area.

Nice comfortable room. Shower was great. Bistro wasn't great. Would've been nice to know they had rooms with balconies. Would definitely recommend staying here
