While my kids Bus drivers have always been great- this transportation office is beyond terrible. My kids Bus has been late 30+ minutes, they take approx 10 mins go even track down the bus to give you an update. How they can’t view GPS on each bus is astounding. The staff that answers the phone is rude and condescending- they don’t seem to have any understanding that you are concerned when your child’s Bus is 30 min late and they have no info. On average I wait on hold 10-50 monies to get a question answered. They have forgotten my kids at the school twice this year. I had a representative argue with me that I gave her the wrong child’s name to look up. Why would a parent do that? I have honestly never had any complaints addressed.

To be completely honest, this "company" is horrible!!!!! First off I have a cousin that uses CREC and Crec placed my little cousin on the wrong bus.
Secondly, I am a driver for DATTCO and I was running late--(we have contract with CREC)--I cut through cones--your not supposed to do this, I had my hazards on, drove slow, looked both ways and in front of me, another driver let me go and I was off. A supervisor for CREC told me, remember you can't do that but I understand your running late but we have to write you up. I said no problem, I understand the rules.
Then this Safety Supervisor(Tracy)Comes over says, open the door rude as all hell and tells me, Your not going to be doing that again, do you understand! I come back, with I understand I'm running late I have to go. She holds the door and says, no, no.....no,no...... you can't do that, its against the rules. She went in circles.

Long story short, if any schools are reading this stay away from Crec and go back to School Bus company contracts. Crec is the worse! If you need monitors Dattco can supply you. Dattco is better than Crec, we monitor kids better than Crec and we monitor our drivers extremely well!
Hell I do not like First Student but I would choose first student over Crec any day. Oh and they(Safety Supervisor Tracy and the Manager for the monitors Derek Bell) LIED on me to my manager telling them I drove through the yard while on my phone.
Honestly, do you really want a company that lies about little things trying to set your kids up on a school bus?! What happened to my little cousin can happen to your kids. Connecticut School systems wise up and go back to Dattco Contracts(only Dattco) and Leave Crec alone. We managed the hartford yard back in the day and did extremely WITHOUT crec and we can do it again.

I’m tired of being the one that is always wrong! The drivers don’t respect their schedule; also I don’t agree with the buses being able to get ther 10 minute earlier from the time that they are suppose to arrive... if they arrive earlier they can wait in the busy until its time to pick us up, because they are in the bus and they have heat on it and I don’t think it’s fair for the us; the students to wait that period of time specially in winter since it’s freezing outside.
A suggestion that I’ll like to make is that when coming back from school if there’s students that are from a certain town and aren’t present in the moment the driver shouldn’t go to the stop, it’s tiri for the students and a waste of gas for the buses since they drive all the way to the stop for nothing.
I’m thankful that we have the service of transportation because I understand it’s a long ride from the schools to different towns but I also think we can make it better by changing little things.

The sub bus drivers my bus has been having are awful. One of them comes 20 minutes late which makes everyone late for school and some parents late for work. The worse bus driver is the one that comes way to early. He came too early to one stop and they had to drive in a snow blizzard for 20 minutes to get to another stop which the bus was told to wait at. These drivers need to check the time sheets and come on time or be fired. It is not fair to the students and parents that rely on these buses for transportation to and from school. Sub drivers need to be properly trained. Also when a parent came to confront the driver about the time he was supposed to be at the stop he closed the door in her face and drove away. These sub drivers are rude, not properly trained, and UN professional. I hope the bus company does something about this before more calls come in from more angry parents!!
