The doormen are incredibly nice and all around great -- by far the best doormen I've dealt with in NYC! However, this specifically pertains to my experience living in unit #15A. While the unit is phenomenal, with a fantastic, spacious balcony, I'm writing this review in case any prospective 15A tenants stumble upon it in so they don't fall into the same trap my roommate and i did. The landlord and his son manage the apartment, and while they'll come across as nice and reasonable, they are anything but throughout your time living there. Having lived in NYC for a decade, I can honestly say I've never had a worse experience with a landlord. Amongst other issues, we faced the following during / after our tenure: -failed to fix broken blinds -failed to fix broken cabinets -failed to fix broken washer / dryer -yelled at us on the phone "however busy you think you are, I'm twice as busy" after we explained we couldn't be home during a specific workday for a team to come fix our broken icemaker -charged us for the aforementioned broken cabinets and washer / dryer upon our move out, despite many emails requesting they be fixed -charged us for re-filling 0.5" drywall holes, which we had already filled prior to move out In sum, we informed the landlord of a plethora of issues that went unfixed and then we were charged for them anyway. If you can stomach having to maintain/fix any issue throughout your tenure and forfeit a decent chunk of your Deposit, it's not a bad spot.
Great staff and well maintained
