I used them a couple of times and they worked for me and this last time I tried using them and I let them try for three months to get approved and they never got approved. I asked for my money back and I was told I didn’t qualify to get my money back in which I would because they stated they would get approved or get refunded. There were two apartments that sent my admin fee back to whomever was on the corporate application and they told me they were unable to locate those checks. I will never use them again!
If I could give negative stars I would as oppose to giving 1 star. This company is horrible. I will not say they’re horrible for everyone but they were a horrible for me and my family. We applied to an apartment complex in Sacramento. Because of sensitive issues with my personal life I wasn’t able to be approved. And although the company says “they were approved” their was never any real evidence to show that. Be that as it may I had already paid not only the company’s application fee which they don’t state you would pay their portion of the application fees but My fiancé and i paid for our application fees as well as the $250.00 dollar holding deposit which the apartment complex will pay you back if you are not approved. I contacted the apartment complex and they informed me they wrote out the $250 dollar check back to Anchor your Assets or Targeted Management Inc same company with different address and phone numbers I contacted the company and informed them what was told to me by the complex but they are refusing to give me back my holding deposit all because I allowed for the process not to be completed. But what Anchor your assets seems not to understand is that you can’t hold someone else holding deposit just because their wasn’t an approval. Now I’m currently pressing charges against this fraudulent company. Look them up on BBB their not even credited. So many of these reviews are fake!!!!!
STAY AWAY! Complete FRAUDS. They act like they help you and communicate with until you the $547 and then you won’t hear from them at all. I’m filing a lawsuit just for my money back.
These people are thievesI repeat do not use them. Yes they got me an apartment and when I moved out the landlord sent my deposit I paid out of my pockets to Kevin Jackson and he kept my money he kept telling me the check is on the way. I never received it. They are so dishonest again do not use them they are liars and cheats and can not be trusted. I did turn them in to the BBB but they are still doing the same thing. I just don’t understand why the feel entitled to someone elses money. It will eventually catch up with them
They have been absolutely wonderful to work with. This is the 5 year in a row I have worked with Anchor your Assets and every time they are just an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only to they guarantee approval, but they are very accommodating and professional when dealing with you. There are a lot of companies that promise everything and deliver nothing, Anchor your Assests will deliver everything they say. I have had other family members and friends I referred to them and they all say the same. Thanks for all your continued help and assistance with my move and getting me into the community I really wanted to live at. You make dreams come true! Thanks
If I could offer 0 stars I would. I was looking to move to a different state closer to my sister due to our mother passing in January. I sent them 547$ and they could not find anything in the area I was going. Then they tried to put 5 people in a two bedroom when I asked for a 4 bedroom and worked with them on a 4 bedroom. You can never get in touch with them via telephone! I've emailed them to please return my funds so I can continue looking and they stop responding to my emails and phone calls! Company is a rip off. I read the comments and all said the same but I went out on a limb to try them anyway but I should have listened. I will be contacting BBB on my behalf. Company is a scam!
They helped about 7 years ago get a rental in NC with no issues. It was quite expensive, but it worked for me!
Like a number of others have shared, I was skeptical at first as well. And it is confusing at times, especially because the names of different companies are used during the process. There were a few things I didn’t know going in to the process, and I understood that I would be responsible for my fees to the property. However I did not know upfront that I would also have to pay a corporate application fee, and yes the process is expensive. But again, we are using this service for a reason and it does work. I did not get into the property of my first choice and I’m still not certain why, because the application was denied due to lack of corporate credit. I have no idea how that happened, but it was very disappointing after paying that corporate application fee. My second choice property did not accept corporate leases, and with my 3rd choice, it finally worked. So yes, it’s the property of your choice, but not if that property doesn’t take corporate leases or could deny it for some other reason. My security deposit is higher than I had anticipated, and the process cost a bit more than I had planned, but again, I’m thankful that with going through a separation, pending divorce and husband that has not been willing to pay court ordered child support, all of which negatively affected my credit, that there was an option. I am certain I would not have been able to get into the apartment complex I was approved for, if I had not used this service. The main take aways here are to be patient, as it took longer than I had thought. From the time I applied and paid the first deposit to start the process, it took about 2 weeks until I was approved. This would have gone faster if I had been approved at my 1st choice, but it wasn’t meant to be. Also be prepared that it may cost more than expected. I didn’t anticipate paying a full month’s rent for a security deposit, but it is what it is. I had no other option, as the community I have been living in, while nice on the outside, has some serious construction flaws and after yesterday’s rain, I had more water in my apartment than outside, so desperately need to move. I have to say that Hazel, Jay & Mary have been very professional and helpful throughout, they answer Emails and are helpful on the phone. If there were any questions, I got answers, and it is better to Email than call. One other tip is to ask for a list of communities in your area that they have worked with before. Had I known that to start, it would have saved some time. It also helped that I had some flexibility with areas. I live in a big metropolitan area, so didn’t have to live in one specific location. I would have liked to be closer to work, but I really like the place I ended up with. Now just need to pull things together for my move and get settled in. I wanted to post this review in response to the negative reviews out there. Yes there were times I wasn’t sure this would work, but gave it a chance and I assure you, this is not a fake review. There were parts that were frustrating and it didn’t go exactly as I had planned, but the outcome is that I found a really nice place for myself and my daughter to live and I’m thankful there was a way to do that.
Where is my refund post denial? Maybe I ll get your attention on google since emails continue to go unanswered. I’ve requested the refund via Venmo Kevin Jackson so please process ASAP - otherwise I will have no choice but to report your company as fraudulent to the Better Business Bureau.
A complete fraud. These people are not qualified to guarantee anyone’s lease. They were unable to provide credit references, which any real company would have. In addition, their written agreements are incompetent and confusing and do not reflect the agreement they are selling. I’m an attorney - I know.
