Went with family with younger kids place was little “adult” atmosphere but seated us right away so very friendly staff. All the food we ordered were good. I’m not sure what drink this was but very tasty, one of the best mix drink I have ever had!!! Give it a shot!Food: 5/5
We have an enjoyable time whenever we come to this restaurant. They are in a great location near bryant park. The food is always high quality no matter what you order. Parking: Plenty of areas to park Kid-friendliness: Very friendly location Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to wheel in a wheelchair or a walker.
I recently visited Croton Reservoir Tavern in Manhattan with two friends and had a pleasant experience. I appreciated that the place was located on the first floor, making it easily accessible. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, despite TVs displaying sports programs they were on mute and quiet background music. The sparsely populated venue allowed us to converse easily without having to raise our voices. The staff were nice, polite, and friendly, contributing to the overall positive experience. The food menu wasn’t extensive, but it was adequate for a bar. The drink menu, on the other hand, was impressively long, featuring pages of various beverages. I particularly liked how the drinks were categorized by country, such as Japan, and separated into types like beer, gin, vodka, etc. Drinks were available both by the glass and by the bottle, which provided flexibility depending on your preference. The sizes of the glasses were standard. The prices were a bit on the high side, but that’s expected in Manhattan. My only gripe was with the high chairs and tables, which were uncomfortable for a shorter person like me. It would be great if they could add a few lower tables and chairs for more inclusivity. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would recommend Croton as a great spot to gather with friends or colleagues for a drink or a catch-up.
Excellent spot for drinks. Great cocktails & lots of options to choose from. The ambiance was super chill & the staff was very friendly. They also have an outdoor area and it was such a good vibe, especially on a nice spring day: Wheelchair accessibility: Ground-level
I came here for a speed dating event on Valentine's Day 2024, which was being held in the cellar. I was hungry. Before the event started, I inhaled a Croton Crunch spicy chicken sandwich. It was delicious and filling. My belly was happy. It cost under $30 with gratuity. Service was good and attentive, but the place was almost full so there was a lot of noise. I prefer quieter places, but for extroverts who like to yell, this place is for them.
Looks like a typical cross town bar but has a great atmosphere and exceptionally well prepared food. Not a big menu but the selections provide for a nice lunch or an excellent dinner. Somebody in the kitchen is chef trained, a surprise in what you might think is just a small bar. Huge liquor selection and knowledgeable bartender.Food: 5/5
Old crowd, music was good but not really loud. Excellent drinks and friendly staffFood: 5/5
I am not a big fan of NYC. BUT this restaurant is the BOMB. The food has a unique combination of flavors. The brisket melts in your mouth. Short rib flathead OMG! When visiting NYC check them out they are worth it!!!Food: 5/5
Early dinner after an enjoyable matinee. Never been to Croton but a place we wanted to try! Host/waiter greeted us upon entering and seated us quickly. Great service and even more wonderful food!! We will be back when we’re in the ‘hood!!! They also have a nice, long bar with plenty of seats. TVs everywhere. Plus, a downstairs bar it was closed but I’m pretty sure they use for private gatherings.
A bar that is likely getting by on its location and wide selection of whisky options. The food was totally fine, but when judged by Manhattan standards, it leaves a lot to be desired. Forgot at least three things in my order.Food: 2/5
